Isn't that obvious? Being fat is unhealthy. You are walking around with all that extra fat you aren't even using.
So you are damaging your legs (fat people experience osteoarthrosis for the excess weight at early ages), and you are letting all that fat accumulate in the body (for weeks/months), damaging your artheries and potentially making you suffer from hypertension in the nearby future? Also, if you have a thing for sugar, and are genetically predisposed, suffer from diabetes? You know most of the treatments for conditions that obese people suffer are excercise, so why get to that shitty point to attempt and reverse the damage you've done to yourself?
Aesthetically speaking, it just doesn't look good at all, too. Take a skinny person, and stuff pillows underneath his clothes and tell them to walk on the street. He'd/she'd look ridiculous right? Well, imagine all the pillows underneath the clothes, making them look like walking balloons, were body fat.
With that said, it doesn't mean you have to be excessively skinny, because that isn't healthy at all. People who suffer from bulimia or anorexia are experiencing terrible things as well. It's about having a healthy body weight, and eating healthy for your long term wellbeing. We are also supposed to be active, and not live a sedentary lifestyle because body wears off quickier if you aren't using it, too.

Biologically speaking human men have always been prone to seeking out women who were healthy in spite of the epidemics of their time. During times when famine was rampant and food was scarce men were attracted to overweight and obese women. During times when obesity was an epidemic we were attracted to skinny women. And now that eating disorders are becoming more and more of a thing and both extreme ends of the spectrum are bad men are more and more being attracted to athletic and strong women. It's all part of a biological need to have the healthiest babies possible.
It used to be the other way around actually, but it has to do more with classism. Being fat used to correlate with being rich because it meant you could afford to eat luxuriously, and being skinny meant you were poor because most skinny people were poor and sickly. Now I think it's still for the same reason, but now in western countries, poor people are fatter because they can only afford cheap fattening processed foods. Skinny people can afford good fresh healthy food and have the money and time to work out while poor people are working three jobs and still have to eat ramen and kraft dinner all the time.

There's such a thing as too skinny though, and of course too fat.
It's simply because it indicates better health and better genes.
Acne is also unattractive. Why? Because it's not a sign of healthy skin. Does this mean if you have acne you're automatically unhealthy? No, but it's a sign that you're not top shelf. Does this mean you're going to be ugly in everyone's eyes? Obviously not, but please don't make a #acneissexy campaigns. And if you do, don't expect everyone to agree.
It also depends on society to a degree because in poorer places, it indicates that you're eating. Lol But in most first world countries, we already know you're eating, so eating well is more important. Gaining too much weight means you're not eating quality food or meals, or are not doing enough physical activity to maintain a good figure. With the obvious exception of those who are ill or physically disabled or have thyroid or whatever issues.
In reference to why should it matter... Well it should matter primarily to e person who is fat. The larger your midsection is, the more prone you're putting your life at risk of many illnesses, diseases etc. etc. even if you think you're beautiful... Who cares what beauty and money can get you when you don't have good health?
Anyway!!!
Anything in general (not just referring to humans ) that loses their original shape will become unappealing... And usually fat people look round like balls instead of a human... And even though skinny is not actually attractive, it still resembles more of a human shape than an object such as a ball...
Ideally a person who is fit.. Not over eating and not under eating, will be more attractive to the eye, than the two options you provided.

Because being slimmed looks better. I can't imagine someone, aside from a minority of guys known as 'chubby chasers' or whatever, preferring to be with a woman who's waist is bigger than her hips or who's boobs sort of droop over her belly because her body fat percentage is so high. A woman's shape is curvy as in smaller waist in comparison to boobs/hips so.. once she starts filling out past a certain point, it's pretty obvious that the slimmer girl will be more attractive.
Not only more attractive, but healthier, more importantly.Because , fatness shows signs of laziness and it is unhealthy. Humans want to be with humans that are healthy. Being in shape/fit is attractive because it is healthy , shows the person cares for themself and it is also very pleasing to look at. Honestly, why should anyone find a fat lazy blob attractive? lots of skin , fat rolls, looking like a round ball will never be considered attractive sorry. And, since you asked this question i get the feeling that you are fat no offense. But, don't worry it can be changed but you need to be willing to work hard for it. You'll be much happier at a healthy weight.
These guys can suck my lady dick. 😂😂😂 I'm chubby. I do have a stomach but I DON'T look like a Teddy gram. I have big boobs, a big healthy ass, wide hips, and full legs. If I could afford healthy foods in my city I would buy them. But I love my body as is. Yes I'm still working out and planning to lose more weight. But these guys need to remember if you have a daughter be careful on what you say. Karma is the baddest bitch.
Because models are skinny. Human coat hangers to present a clothes collection on.
Since models are skinny and all over the place in ads skinny has become the ideal. It wasn't always: just look at older paintings and statues. Giacometti sees another ideal woman:

Ain't they cute?
(Let's hope this doesn't get censored by the censor mod: it's VERY explicit, LOL)It depends on the era. Way back in the day, skinny women were not see as attractive because they were seen as poor and didn't have enough food to eat. As time goes by, different things become popular. If you asked me 10+ years ago that the Kim Kardasian body type was going to be the new trend then I wouldn't have believed you because back then it was all about the 'Paris Hilton body type'. Media has a lot to do with it. On the other hand, different people are attracted to different things. Some guys like bigger girls some guys like skinnier girls. No one is ever perfect to everyone.
because guys determine what is attractive in women, not the other way around. And we by and large are repulsed by women who are too overweight. I mean its no different than the attraction most women have to tall men... except at least a woman who is overweight can do something about it
It's kind of arbitrary. Once upon a time, in a land called America, some guy didn't think women should be fat anymore, and so it began lmfao.
Culture has been influencing us to think this way for just over a century, and that's about what it is. It's not actually more or less attractive (in my opinion), kind of like those women who where rings around their necks, the longer the neck the more beautiful. Social status symbols are often equated with beauty.Maybe because being fat is a sign of not taking care of your health, it's associated with being a slob and over eating which is not the case for many people, skinny is not attractive either, being a healthy weight and healthy in general is attractive.
because whatever is rare is desired, guys like curvier girls where i live because skinny girls are abundant. same with ethiopia when i traveled there, all the girls are slender so they want some cushion. the world is slowly being more obese in western countries so they want slender girls.
Simply the definition, contrast of a fit body vs a overwight one is more attractive. Its just simple.. running your hand over a back that curves lusciously inwards at her lower back then starts to protrudes, all of which can be finely grasped with one hand...
I remember growing up and everyone would bully me for being skinny. I still suffer self esteem issues because of it. I had lived in a society where everyone was naturally curvy or if you had more meat on you it is more desirable so my views on the skinny thing is slightly different.
Look, I just do what my dick tells me and I don't ask any questions lmaooo
Because fat is unhealthy.
Anyone can't be considered beautiful, that's bullshit...Why exclude only fat then? Why not say someone who has a very unattractive face by society standards be unattractive. Then guys who look like Danny DeVito should be going out with victoria secret looking women. See where I'm going with this?
It's very simple. Being fat is unhealthy, and humans are predisposed to being attracted to health. Otherwise, the human race would not have carried on for very long.
Having a high body fat % just doesn't look attractive.
Skeleton people don't look attractive either. Meaning any guys that are below 10% body fat and any woman that's below 18% body fat.Skinniness is seen as "feminine" because femininity is associated with fragility.
Of course, once you reach 14 your biology overrides that kind of nonsense, or at least it did for me, hah.just overall health really. Its attractive when you see someone that appears to take care of their body.
not saying it means skinny people do and anyone fat dont. just making it a simple reason/answerYou don't "consider" people beautiful, that is not how it works.
It is like trying to tell people who hate brussels sprouts to like them because they are "considered" to be tasty.
Well, does it work? It's unattractive to me.
I am attracted to people who are healthy.
Hard to find someone attractive when they have moobs, double chin and is panting after walking up a flight of stairs.
