One would think a healthy weight is seen as attractive, yet that assumption doesn't hold true in reality
It doesn't matter so much about attraction... being overweight compromises your health... I suffered from lbl due to my weight

I mean I answered my own question of course. But this isn't always valid.
I guess saying poor is an oversimplification. A better way to phrase it is that in cultures with scarce resources, heavier women are more likely to be preferred. However in cultures with abundant resources , thinner women are more likely to be preferred.
When fat women were preffered it was associated with nobilty because only the wealthy could afford to enough food to get fat. So it was also somewhat of a status symbol to be fat.
Currently there are places that still prefer heavier women but they are primarily underdeveloped countries in africa.
its more like fat= money cause most people are too poor to be fat. Rich= sex appeal anywhere

Well I would not say this to be true, because there are skinnier people who can run out of breathe very quickly compared to others. You can be still considered physically skinny, and still be "out of shape".

carrying more weight around requires more energy. either your muscles compensate, or your cardiovascular system kicks in. if you're untrained in cardio, (as most fat people are), you'll tire out quicker due to never training your heart to grow to compensate for the extra load.
Okay thank you for your input. But what I am simply trying to say is though someone is fat and may run out of breath quicker, so can people who aren't fat. Skinner people can also be untrained in cardio as you so put it. Some people either work out or have higher metabolisms that makes them skinnier than most or muscular. Regardless of having an extra load, skinner people can run out of breath at the same possible rate as someone who is considered or is fat.

lol @Polocrew not what I find dissapointing. Being fat (not grossly, encumberingly fat, but fat) is an advantage for women because fat stores nutrients important for new fetuses. As well being fat has little to do with athletic capabilities, there is some cross over where a person is lazy and inactive they are more likely to be fat, but they're not synonymous and thin looking women can also be lamentably out of shape.
Ditto to what nalaa said about there being actual advantages to larger stronger men. I am attracted to taller, larger guys whether they look cut or fat or whatever ontop of it. I also like sinewy looking guys and guys who don't have a filled out muscle structure at all as long as they seem physically capable.

I love how you are actually not listening to what I'm saying. I said I would like a jacked tall fat guy just as much as I would like a skinny jacked tall guy. Muscle is muscle, and strength is strenght. Taller also doesn't mean stronger, it means taller. Taller men are larger, and therefore more intimidating that shorter men. It's a different advantage alltogether.
I know a three hundred pound man who can lift and carry over 400lbs and beat you in a dead heat sprint and he smokes. Guy is fat but he's jacked as shit. That's just one instance of fat being a totally irrelevant factor. I wasn't saying I like fat guys better than strong guys. Same shit goes for women, you can choose not to beleive me, but you would still be wrong. This is a generalization out society has made which is almost entirely baseless.
Also there are things better predict a mans capability than thick cut obvious looking muscles. I suppose you just have to smarter to notice and interpret them.

Please point out the sentence where I indicate that fat is not considered feminine. It IS considered feminine. It is femininity. What the hell do you think goes into hips and tits and ass? Fat is almost soley responsible for the feminine shape. Also you're assuming that pound for pound more muscles equals more muscular strength, which is also not true. It works as a general trend, and for the individual the more muscle she has the stronger she will be, but there is also such a thing as muscle efficiency, so by your very logic a smaller person with more muscle efficiency is better off than a more muscular person with low muscle efficiency because he or she carries less weight.
And I didn't say he'd smoke you, I said he'd beat you and he smokes lol. It would prbably be damn close.
And I have always noticed the brick shithouse looking dudes do better with weight lifting and sprints than the tool looking muscular dudes about the same weight.

Ok, Skinny = 40:60 muscle to fat ratio because they are skinny but would look much muscled because theyd carry more ratio of muscles to fat.
Avg fat = 20:80 fat ratio, now they might carry more muscles than avg skinnybbut would look less muscles cos their fst ratio would be covering it. Lol Just like in case I keep mentioning.

Yes skinny people can look more muscular as in you can see more muscle definition but they aren't actually going to be more muscular, and if you have something called a brain, you can actually make the distinction despite the fat. You still aren't making the case the skinny is somehow actually better or that it even just looks like they are fitter because muscles are more apparent. You even argue against it because you say muscular is not feminine and not attractive either.
At some point you are going to have to admit you don't know of a real rational reason for why you have that preference.
And some muscular men are still ugly. Sometimes the way their muscles build is ugly. Ugly is just ugly to me, not fat, thin, athletic etc etc.

As I have stated before being tall is actually a physical advantage over being short. They usually do kick more ass. But 9 times out of ten they dont even need to, because intimidation.
Lets look at how being thin would have to be to be the same as that, shall we? Thinner can mean what, that a person is more healthy. So then 9 times out of ten they should kick ass at some feat of health over a fat person. But they don't. Thinner women are more likely to have trouble getting pregnant and giving birth, more likely to die younger, and more likely to suffer from depression. Despite popular belief there is a buffet of scientific evidence to suggest that not only is thinness not any particular advantage over being fat but it might actually be more unhealthy. The handful of negative health effects associated with obesity and fat are much more heavily prevelant at the extreme (morbid obesity) and there is evidence to suggest that pros outweigh the cons.

While it may be true that running perfomace will be better with a lower but still healthy body fat percentage the reverse is not true that a person with a low body fat percentage is a better runner. In other words, the individual themselves will be faster than they are now at a lower body fat percentage but it doesn't make them faster than another, fatter person.
Also, I can see why a man being more intimidating makes a better partner for a woman, it helps ensure other people won't fuck with her. What the hell does running faster have to do with anything? Before you start oh survival running from wild animals bla bla bla remember that starvation was once a much more real threat to humans and the same benefit can be said of being fatter and being able to gain more fat to avoid starving to death in the winter.

I'm telling you there are very few logical conclutions you can draw about a person based on thinness alone, especially with regards to health. I understand these are commonly held beleifs by society but they have a limited factual basis in reality.
So basically yes, you make your predictions. But your predictions are wrong because they are based on the wrong things. That's all.

What are we even considering skinny and fat here? I can concede that there is a clear advantage and health benefit to someone not being morbidly obese just like it's advantageous not to be underweight and you might want someone more who has a reasonable ability to store fat (not too much or too little) and their size would likely be an indcator of that.
I am attracted to taller guys but I'm not going to be more attracted to a guy who is 6'3 than a guy who is 5'7" just because he's taller. They're both within an attractive range for me.

Then I completely and totally disagree with you. A 5'7" 120lbs chick is classed as just barely being normal weight (any lighter and she's underweight) which is exactly the size I'm talking about when I say there are no real health benefits and even possibly some health risks. If she is very fit and that height and weight its even worse because then she would be at risk of developing health problems associated with being underweight. There might be the odd chick who fits this size requirement that is healthy but it would be quite rare.
I think soon you are going to have to face the fact that because models used to like doing herione and cocaine and not because it's actually a more beneficial society has developed an appetite for a size which is barely attainable for 9/10ths the population and naturally occurs more rarely than plutonium.
