I think words only have as much power as you give them. I think it's stupid at best and malicious at worst to have words that SOME people can NEVER say. However, if you are around people whom you respect, you should use respectful language. I've been discriminated based on ethnicity, and I've been called every word in the book. I've been targeted for being English, Irish, AND Scottish.
But that doesn't mean I'm going to tell people to stop because I think they have the right to. I don't know how it feels to be black or have been oppressed for hundreds of years, but I think I have more right to have an opinion than black people who've never been discriminated against. I mean I have more experience than them in the matter.

I don't assume violence, but I mean, there has been violence before & that's been well documented. Not all black people agree in their response to the word. Sometimes there are people who just want to take their anger out on others, & they use excuses like 'Hah, you said an insenstive thing that hurt my feelings' as a way to initiate it. I wouldn't treat black people like children who can't bear to hear naughty words. Well its functionally a similar way, even if it isn't the same. I respect the parents right to choose, but adults aren't in the process of being raised at all. Well there are different swastikas. I am against the idea that because gay people incorporate the rainbow, its automatically gay for a guy to demonstrate interest in rainbows. If you went to India you'd find a lot of swastikas, & there are swastikas in the flag of the Falun Gong, this sect of spiritualists in China who are arrested for meditating in public & are often tortured & murdered for their organs (though China's authoritarian governemnt denies this). I wouldn't care about a swastika in that context.
That being said, if I saw waving the specific black swastika on a white circle in a red backdrop, I would assume they're evil & amy attempt made on the part of someone doing that to say 'its my symbol of peace' i'd just be like, fuck you dude stop pissing on my leg & saying its raining, The nazi swastika is a specific thing.
