Does anyone actaully think is right?
I would of let her go free just under care and therapy and hoped she would get help and recover. But the goverment right away think welp if we can get a million and put her in jail for life that's great.
It is sort of fair because she did what the justice system wouldn't have been able to do although she did technically murder someone (there's no way around this). As with all things, governments and law enforcement can fail, but that does not
Was it morally correct? No. Was it legally right? Not at all. The problem with these things is that laws exist so that we don't dwell into anarchy. It's actually really simple to take matters into your own hands but how far would you go? Without credible evidence anyone can easily take advantage of people and there would essentially be no way to factually prove ones innocence.
There is a way around it psycholgoical help in a mental ward instead of prison. People are sent to mental wards all the time for murder so i don't understand why they wouldn't do it for a young girl who has been trumatised and could be helped to get better and not be a danger to anyone else.
Where? Which country did this happen? Sounds like Nazi government
I think we should ask if it's just, according to the law. Yes, we may despise sex traffickers. That doesn't give us the right to kill them as we see fit. That's not justice. It's taking the law into our own hands. And it's what justified lynching people in the past, among other things. If we start throwing out the law when it's convenient for us, then we're in far greater trouble than we might think.
Yeah but your forgetting there is many things wrong with the law many flaws and as the people who live in a lawed country we should have the right to speak out about the flaws and why the judgement was unreasonable.
Heck that's the whole point of trial to try and get the full story and give a reasonable punishment or reasonable let off or if there just innocent.
And the way i see it this was very unfair and clearly people more people agree. So if majority notice there is something wrong with this. The goverment should be looking into changing there laws to fit standers of the mojoirty like demacorcy should work.
Heck if we didn't express what stuff is unfair we would still have slaves and gay people been not equal and getting rights.
With respect, I'm not "forgetting" anything. I said what I feel. You have a different opinion--and more power to you. I don't want to be part of a society that creates laws and then throws them out when people feel like it. Addressing corruption in the legal system or unjust laws is another subject. Nor is the majority opinion necessarily the best litmus of how the law ought to work.
You're welcome to your own opinion, man. And I'm glad I get to keep mine. Peace.
Ummm you do realise how laws work right?
Laws are changed and created a lot thought time because people felt like it.
In the past we felt like black people should just be slaves cause there not like us. And why did we stop because people felt like it was wrong and they fought back because they felt like it. But ok.
Hey i was just askinga question your right to your own opinion so of course i agree. But don't mean i cannot point out counter points.
And if ya didn't want me to that's fine but that's kinda means your never gonna learn stuff and seems like you know anything, heck i could be wrong but just saying your opinion and saying it will never change cause i feel it to be right is okay but kinda seems close minded. And if you are closed minded to this opinion that's totally okay.
But i dislike like that personally lol.
Not fair at all. He deserved worse.
Thanks for MHO 😊

It would be helpful to know all of the relevant facts. Also, your understanding of bail is seriously flawed.
Your comments do not change my opinion. You know nothing about bail.
I know that you don't understand bail and you are ranting about things that don't happen in reality.
Name calling, too. Nice touch!
You calling me "boomer" is like me calling you "snowflake." It does refer to your age but it is also intended in a derogatory manner. If you want to call me names, I won't get upset; I'm not a snowflake.
Looks I sympathize I do, if someone did that so someone I was close with or worse family I would have hunted him down and killed him myself.
But at the same time she did commit cold blooded murder even if it was with the best intentions she still killed someone in cold blood and that is against the law, the law must be unbiased it has to treat everyone the same.
The world may hate sex traffickers and yes they are the scum of the earth but that doesn't give us the authority to go around killing them.
It depends on the situation.
Say she is being attacked by said sex trafficker and she uses disproportional violence, I can imagine the clause of force majeure in a physiological way, leading to a severely reduced sentence, considering it was her sex trafficker.
But generally she does deserve punishment. When said person is no direct threat from you (assuming she is not under control of said trafficker), you have no right to physically attack that person, let alone kill him.
His deeds are irrelevant for whether any vigilante has the right to just kill him.
I get they don't have the right thing just to kill someone.
But because of the sitaution, i strong believe that life in prison was not the answer and the bail been that much, she could of be helped by therapy and mental health care rather than thrown into prison for that long.
A lot of cases like this they never see that it is just a child who has been tortured and is a surviour who need medical care and help to make a life not rot in prison.
i dont know this exact case but i can tell you, on the face of it she would have been released here in the uk as laws have been changed recently to make his actions a reason for mitigation
Yeah but look, if we let one murder go we have to let every murder go. It may sound unfair, but our primitive rules don't allow for that kind of subjective decision. I wouldn't have sentenced her to life in prison, rather looked for evidence against the guy and prooven her innocence somehow. Of course easier said than done, but who knows, maybe in the future the system may become more just.
Not saying that she should be just let off. But clearly this was all done because of the abuse he did to her and it was defo a mental breakdown that led her to this. So they should put her under care of a mental ward not prison.
And then see if she is fit to not to be a danger to anyone else and it was just the sitaution of this guys abuse.
I don't think that's fair at all.
For example, in the Bible sex trafficing is a Death Penalty. So the trafficer deserved to die anyway, and in this case I agree with the Bible.
I think the girl should go scott free, to be honest.
The bug unfairness in this is that she's only 13, no kids this age get life sentenced prison even for cold murdering in my country.
That's so crazy.
I would never be able to convict her. The law failed in its primary role of being a viable alternative to vengeance. It failed its secondary role of being a viable deterrent to future criminal acts. This brave young woman remedied both failures and made sure he wouldn't be able to victimize anyone again.
It makes me wonder what skeletons the judge has in his closet. There's only one reason in my mind for a man to be so lenient on another who commits these kinds of crimes.
Sounds about right. If you get caught for premeditated murder the law is going to fuck your shit up. It doesn’t matter why… Murder stays murder.
Morals play little role in today's society. Its how it is. He deserved it tough.
Bail is set so you are not a flight risk she doesn’t have to pay it and no you cannot murder like she did the law has to prosecute him if she didn't like the verdict too damn bad
It is not wrong it is an act of self defense. she shouldn't have been arrested for trying to save her life.
She still killed him. That's still against the law. You have cops getting away with killing people all the time and worse things happening.
This isn't news
Murder is never right. Unless it's a twisted fuckwit, like that guy, in which case KILL EM WITH FIRE.
Yes. It is fair. She murdered. Being raped is not an excuse to murder and if older, she could be put to death..
Legally what she did is justifiable self-defense.
It's pre-meditated murder even though she meant well.
I bet she can plea self defense
He deserved it. She deserve help to regain herself
No she should have got the death penalty
Well that depends if I killed a religious person I think I should be given $5000 by the government for my troubles but if I killed a good non religious person then yes execute my ass but if I did it there would be no evidence to try me on
