Hypothetically, if you steal a car, would you get to keep it? And if you did, wouldn’t you have to register it in? Or what if someone did some crime like not paying their taxes?

Guillotine politicians. Of course, we might need to do that regardless of "legality".
I wouldn't murder anyone or do anything to anyone who doesn't deserve it. But there are a few people whose houses I would set on fire.

And as for your update, no. Murder is horrible regardless of whether or not the law allows us to for a day and we will face judgement for it in this life or the next. Only kill if you have no choice
