I had an X girlfriend that tried that. She is the only woman that I have called a bitch and still do to this day. We were together for 3 years. I had moved to California with her and was going to start a new life so many people say. We had our ups and downs like most couples do. It was going to be Thanksgiving in a few days and she could see that I was not doing well at all. I was severely depressed because it was the first Thanksgiving that I couldn't be with my family. It was the first Thanksgiving that she was going to spend with her family in years. Thanksgiving came and she and her kids and mom were still getting ready. I was already done with preparing myself for the day and went to our room to try and get it together mentally. I cracked my first 24oz beer and was playing Grand Theft Auto. She comes in and starts ragging on me because I was depressed. I finished that beer in about 5 minutes and got another. She didn't realize that I was on my second one or else she would have really lost it. She comes back in and starts in on me again. She said " If you guck up my first Thanksgiving with my family in 10 years I will make your life hell." I looked her in the eyes and told her to just let me chill and get my head right and stop yelling and lecturing me and I will be better and I would deal with it and hold it together. Her son came in and we played a different game together until the rest were ready. We all got together at her uncle's house and had dinner and the night was better. I had some more to drink and it was a ok night. After we got home she didn't say much. I started texting my family to help me get back home to Colorado. I told them that I will be home before Christmas no matter what. I had asked my brother if he could help me. We had been friends since 6th grade and went through a lot so I still look at him as a brother. He drove from Arizona after working a double shift to get me and my stuff. I told him if I had to leave stuff there I was ok with it. He got on the road and said that he would be there in 6 hours. He drove all night and arrived at 10 am. I told my X that he was coming to get me a few nights before. I packed everything up and was getting yelled at by her the whole time. The day he was going to be there she took off and left me at home with her mom the kids were at school. Her mom and I had talked for a while. Her family wished that we could have worked it out but they knew how she was treating me and didn't blame me. We were half way done loading his suv up and she started texting me begging me not to go. She had so many chances to make things right but she chose to keep being a bitch. My brother asked me to see my phone so he could call his wife and my family. He said his was dead. He called them and said that we were on our way. He turned my phone off and kept it. I got home on December 13th. A while after I was home I had started dating again and my new girlfriend had family that was in law enforcement. She had found out that my X had tried to press charges on me for molesting her 14 year old daughter who is mentally challenged. I had done no such thing and I would never hurt a child. Her family stood up for me and the charges had been dropped. I had called the police in that city we lived in and spoke to them. That's how I found out how the changes were dropped and such. She then kept sending me messages on Facebook and such saying that she was coming back to Colorado and was going to bring some of her old gang friends with her. I knew that she had been in a gang because her mom told me. I saved up and bought a.45 for protection. I carried it for a few years just in case. About 4 years after all of that she had contacted me again. I don't know how but she did. She said that she moved back. I had found that she had. She and I talked once and she apologized for everything. That didn't make any difference to me.

This isn't a story I like telling. But to show the damage, I will. I once went to visit a friend in college. While there, we attempted an obnoxiously difficult video game challenge, having woven up a rope from yarn and tying our wrists together, deciding we wouldn't untie it until we'd won. We even slept that way. On our back from our victory breakfast, he was taken by the campus police on the grounds that he'd raped a girl the night before. I explained that couldn't be true, showing our wrists, but they didn't care.

He had no idea how to defend himself and had become an instant pariah (even his parents refused to help), so I leapt in to the task myself, only to find that, because of new DOE policy, he wasn't allowed a lawyer, or the ability to call witnesses, or even present evidence in his own defense. I watched a good friend forced through a star chamber show trial that Kafka would've called excessive.

In the end (I'd only intended to stay the weekend, but it ended up being over a month), he was expelled. But before he could make it back to me with the news, he was jumped by a group of masked thugs and beaten so badly that the doctors only gave him a 50/50 chance of surviving the night. He did, but he never walked again.

The incident broke him. To see such a bright, strong person brought so low for no damned reason would chill your heart even if he wasn't your friend. His own family refused to believe his innocence, and his parents wound up paying him to stay away from them. I think I was the only person he talked to, and most of our visits consisted of him staring blankly at the walls. I did everything I could to keep him engaged, but it didn't matter. On the one year anniversary of his "arrest", I went to visit him, determined to focus his attention on something else, only to find he'd put a shotgun in his mouth. It took a long time to stop screaming long enough to call 911.

I don't think my feelings on false accusations are a mystery.

It may also interest you to know that the man behind the change in DOE policy that now requires due process violations was none other than Joe Biden. Betsy DeVos, Trump's secretary of education, pushed through a change in the rules, allowing schools the right to choose what standards to use when resolving these cases. This has been widely derided as "misogynistic", and Biden has vowed to overturn Devos's changes if elected. Regardless of your opinion on Trump, please bear that in mind the next time someone tells you that a bloviating blowhard saying stupid things on social media makes them a dictator.

I am so triggered by this question. This story will remain part of what pisses me off for the rest of my life. Had a woman on my supervisor team who was endanger of being fired. I was literally the only one who when asked by HR in private if they should fire her, vouched for her because I didn't want someone who really needed their job to get fired. How was this kindness repaid...why with ultimate betrayal of course. A few months later, at an event, she f'd it up royally and our VIP's with the big bucks wanted heads to roll. I came in to work that day to find out, that meant me for some odd reason. I had a whole voicemail of angry messages from the big wigs asking why I didn't follow set-up protocols and why certain things were horribly mismanaged.

All this was strange because I did not even work that night. Apparently the co-worker had said I worked the event and it was my fault I didn't do set up right and that they were angry. I went to the assistant managers office to just explain, hey didn't work last night, don't really know why they are calling me, and the AM tells me that she knows this but since the other girl is her friend, she doesn't want her to get fired, so she's NOT going to tell them this very important fact. I. LOST. IT. I had a whole set of messages saying that I was probably going to be fired and my own AM refused to tell the truth. I turned it up to 11. I went red in the face. This verbal altercation goes out off the office, up and down the hall, everyone is peering in going what the hell is going on here. It was never physical but two people pulled me to the back to cool off because I was livid. What these idiots didn't realize is we had a bioscan time clock so how did I work if I had scanned out 2 hours ahead of the event. The girl was fired, and the AM and I never got along after that but karma for her was a b---- so life worked itself out.

When I refuse to conform to strict religious ways and refuse to conform to a culture where women are meant to have babies and stay in the kitchen and men are seen as more important and the authoritarian I became the black sheep of my family and so I rebelled.

I never did anything that an American child would call naughty but apparently I was naughty for having an opinion for not wanting to wear dresses all the time for wanting to take woodshop class or mechanic shop instead of home ec.

Because I was once seen sitting on the curve talking to a bunch of girls and boys I was considered to be prostituting
Eventually this lie turned into prostitution and drug use. Hey apparently what else would make me so rebellious...

My family's relationship became so toxic that eventually my father was contacted in the United States and he was told those lies. He was told I was a delinquent who was prostituting and abusing drugs

He took me to America to straighten me out I was placed in delincuente classes and it took about a year and a half to clear my name

My father became extremely apologetic when the truth was finally revealed and he and I are closer than ever I don't care under what circumstances he took me to America I don't care that he had even believed the lies I am thankful that he stepped in and thankful that he cared enough to believe he had to help me and I'm also very thankful that he finally saw the truth

ALL I know is he saved my life my mind and my outgoing personality.

When I was 18 a bunch of my friends and I went camping on the river in the next town over. It was a small podunk town. We ended up getting bored and headed to the park. A guy and girl (both around 14 or 15) walked by and we asked them where everyone was at. It was 11:00 on a Friday night. So we asked if there was a party going on anywhere if thats why we weren't seeing anybody out. They said no and left.

About an hour later 3 sheriffs rolled up with their lights flashing. They asked to search our vehicles and before we could even answer they were going through our cars. After they got done illegally searching our cars they told us we were going to be charged with assault and kidnapping. Completely confused I asked what was going on. They said they got a call about a group of teens in the park holding down another teen and threating to beat him up unless he told us were a party was. They even had a description that fit me to a tee. After taking our statements they said it was our word vs his and they believed him. Finally I told them to get the girls statement that was with him. After another hour of waiting and even more sherrifs showing up and again searching our cars they told us we were free to go. The girls story matched ours. So when confronted with her and our version he confessed to making it because he was late for his curfew and was trying to keep from getting grounded.

I said I wanted to press charges against him and they said I could not and that since a report had been made we could still be charged for up to a year. So if anything happened to him during the next year the charges would be filed against us. We were told to leave the town and not come back.

I still think of that night whenever I hear of any accusations. Seems like everyone is "guilty until proven innocent" anymore. He could have destroyed 6 lives all because he didn't want to get grounded. I found out years later he had committed suicide. Thank god he didn't do it during the year after or I'm sure they would have tried to pin his death on us as well.

The closest thing is when I pled guilty to something I didn't do as part of a plea bargain.

While driving, I was pulled over for something I didn't do. Not sure what happened, but I suspect the cop got me mixed up with someone else and pulled over the wrong car. However my license was expired, which was a more serious offense. I agreed to plead guilty to what I didn't do, to have the other charged drop. I really hated doing it, even though it was the best thing for me.

What was worse was the scam lawyers. This was a small courthouse, and I was sitting in a room with the prosecutor and a few others. I tried to bargain with the prosecutor to plead guilty to A if they dropped B. He refused to do it.

After he left, another lawyer who was siting there asked if I wanted a lawyer he would represent me for $200 (adjusted for inflation would more than double that). I agreed to it. He left the room and came a few minutes later with exactly the same deal the prosecutor had turned down ten minutes earlier.

my mother, tried to make out that i beat her when all i did was ask for my property back... she made out that i had beaten her to teh police... funny thing was my then girlfriend was witness to the fact she lied... but the police refused to accept her statement and instead attempted to threaten my girlfriend... so i told the copper that if he touched her he would immediately regret it, when he asked if i was threatening him i said "no, i am merely promising you how it will go down!"

my father, tried to have me arrested for various things, i stopped him raping a young woman and he didn't like that.. and i stopped him from having a guy killed, which pissed him off even more... after that he tried having be arrested for trumped up allegations even after he tried running me down with his car.
a couple or so years later he used the fact that my kids' uncle slept with an underage girl (apparently to prove he wasn't gay), and blackmailed their Nan into making a false statement to the police claiming i'd beaten his 2nd ex wife up... despite the fact that i never did, but instead was attacked by this crazy cow, while she was trying to get past me to attack my kids... their allegations despite no proof was only able to result in a charge of ABH cos of the fact of the false statement, the officer even stated that had it not been for the statement there would not be anything that could have even been enough to warrant an arrest let alone a charge.
he's been trying to get me done for years since... even ruin my life
and then he finally found where i moved to when i had married.. and got to my (now ex) wife who he managed to manipulate and use to try and get me set down, shot, beaten up, even try to stop me from being able to see my kids...

and even when i moved far away they still tried doing their crappy thing

Nothing like that has happened to me but kinda/sorta as I was recently a victim of unemployment fraud. I haven't been unemployed since I was a kid lol but when all the COVID relief money came out, the system got overloaded and countless fraud has happened. Someone was collecting unemployment under my name... and finally got caught when they, get this, tried to file for an extension lol. It's really sad as I found out hundreds of thousands of people were also victims of this. Money to those in need - yes - to the fraudsters... karma will get you :)

I'll also add more to your experience I have a friend who is a pretty famous porn model and fake accounts of hers will pop up all the time and ask people for money... she can't stop it but she continuously reminds people she doesn't ask for $ in messages - but people fall for it.

Many times, mostly in real life. I dated 2 psychos for about 2 weeks each. I found out how crazy each one was early on and left them. The first one took a picture of me before our 1st date (I did not date online and all my social media was set to private) without me knowing. When I broke up with her, she gave the police my picture and phone number and said I raped her (I'm a virgin to this day lol). Of course my chain of command (I was in the military at the time, but psycho did not know that) turned me over to the local police. I did not know why until I was at the county jail. Lucky for me the day she said I "raped" her I was at a command function with my unit. When we went to trial and I knew the date and time, I called my NCOs and they verified my whereabouts. She had done this to 3 other men before me. The 2nd girl tried to shoot me when I broke up with her. Before the gun was fully aimed I kicked her in the stomach and kicked her gun wrist (the gun was still in her hand) and broke it. That time what saved me was the fact I chose a starbucks for the breakup and made sure to get a seat close to the register so the cashier could see and hear everything.

I was.. almost... accused... of something illegal/crooked, through a volunteer position that I had had for years.

I happen to have background checks and minor security checks periodically through my real job, so I'd like to think I've proven I'm a good, solid dude. I can back things up better than most of the other volunteers. No one actually involved has ever accused me of anything related to what this woman thought I did. She was just a nut with a tiny amount of power, and she just assumed I did something, so she tried to make an issue.

The head staff chose to back HER up - I felt VERY betrayed. Luckily, I had my mom to back me up or be there for moral support. We had "mediation meetings" - this woman who assumed I did something was a no show every time. She chose to start an issue, but when it came to some discomfort of having to face the person she was trying to ruin... she couldn't bother to show, and the staff made excuses for her, and kept defending her, as if she was being reasonable.

I saw the signs - I quit. Years of volunteer work (and a position I loved), out the door. I will never put myself in a similar situation, and there are a lot of trust issues now, so I'm going to be paranoid probably for the rest of my life, even though I'd never have done these things anyway. There are a bunch of other crazy stuff the staff / she tried pulling with me even months after I left, but I don't want to make this post too long, or get into it much, but... a bunch of little "F* yous" they pulled after, trying to keep reopening the wound. They had done it years before, this place had ages of people pulling crap, but my family stuck with this group for a long time. We put up with it way longer than we should have, but that's another point for another day.

Yup! So my ex went to Old Homes Days at our HS one year with his buddy and apparently got into a fight with a group of people; one of which was my "best friend". Needless to say, she got punched in the face. Not by my ex, but by his scum bag druggie friend. However, she thought my ex did it and got all her guy friends involved. Their way of "Making him pay" (for something he didn't even do) was by sending 3 guys to my home who busted in my back door and beat the fuck out of me.

Guess who called me not even 30 seconds after the whole thing went down? My "best friend", saying "Omg I heard what happened. Are you okay?" I hadn't even told anyone because it literally just happened. I flipped out and asked her how the fuck she knew if she wasn't involved and her immediate response was to call the cops on me and say I threatened her and her sons life and she feared for their safety. So needless to say, she set me the fuck up, then tried playing stupid and she played victim to police (her dad is a cop) who saw my face bloody and still took her side. I ended up having a restraining order put on me, as well as criminal threatening.

In a sense, yes. Way back in college I had a lab partner in a hard core science class. She had some sort of disagreement with my lab work for some reason. The other lab partner always said it was OK, so I'm not sure what the issue was. I left them and finished the semester doing the lab work on my own without partners.

Anyway, being the sick person she was, I guess she felt that to justify it, she trashed me to all of her friends of the same major. I think that they thought it wasn't class related and maybe it was a failed romance that she was "really" mad about. Which is was NOT because she and I never had a romance.

What it lead to was a lot of the ladies in her circle of friends got the idea that I was some sort of "bad boy" and it put me on their radar. I noticed they tried to sit next to me in class a lot... LOL... I hope it made her mad... LOL

Some bitch in the clinic I work placed used pulp extraction set into my tool table. This set is relatively expensive, she used it for her private customers and didn't want to pay for it. I had the option to sterilize it and use it again (this could work but is forbidden) or to report it to our professor. After investigation of camera records and bills she has been caught by making some "unofficial" jobs and there was much more stuff she "borrowed"

Yes! Online and real life. In real life it was back in 2013 or 14 a telemarketing selling company used my name and secure number to purchase garments and merchandise worth 3500 dollars. Of course! Called the police and the bank to shutdown my bank transfers ability and showing them that someone set me up and used me for my money. So i got my money back and the police never caught the person responsible.
The online! Few guys used my photos of me is some spam websites and dating sites posing half naked doing working out posture and showing some close-up bulge shots and so and a friend of me told me that he saw a photo of me on some sex pills spam add. That's why i never post anymore photos of my self full length, only head photos and filtered.

Yes. A couple years ago I was dating someome, but her best friend wanted to do the same, while mot having a chance. He decided to dedicate his life to destroy me. He wanted to take everything away from me and didn't mind hearing that I killed myself (I was in a depression at the time). He created an army of about 6-8 people and used everything against me. Every little thing he could use was usefull and everything else was a lie. It wasn't fun amd left a mark. But I survived. He won the battle, but I kept on going and won the war. Ever since that day I connected with people that disliked him for his nasty behavior.

It is however nice to know that I have an enemy that wanted me dead, created an army and still failed to get me down, even tho I was in a depression

Another person.. a feminist, bombarded my companies facebook page with all kinds of horrible stuff about me because i disagreed with her.. That last one was funny. So after she made up all this nonsense and the police even said that she's a lying whore, the university gave her an extra 12 months to pass her freshman finals. She then spread a rumor that I cried about it and chased after her for weeks in desperation. Yes, when I sold Robomowers for Friendly Robotics , The Dist for them had me as the sales person for a given area. I caught him also selling them to my customers , so he set up a repair class and did it in a way that he thought I would not come and then he was going to take my dealership away. Well I showed and passed class making minor repairs.

Also when I was at Meijer , they would watch people they wanted to fire buy something and they would ask them for the receipt and if they didn't have it , they would fire them for theft. I was liked so it never happened to me but they did it to others.

Yeah, in fact just a couple of months ago at a party. I was drunk and this “friend“ made claims that I “made a move“ on her (in an uncomfortable way) and guilted me into an apology. Since I didn’t remember anything I believed her and it genuinely killed a part of me. I then asked people that were at the party (around 15-20) and they all denied everything that she claimed. Apparently I literally didn’t even come in contact with her (I was even under my sober friend‘s watch throughout the entire event) and I passed out quite early on. I still ask myself why she would lie about this, because it can really fuck with someone.

When I was in the military there were plenty of people who blamed others for things that the accused had nothing to do with.

It rarely happened to me after I got out of the military. I once had a girlfriend that would accuse me or blame me for things. For example, I bought a rice cooker that had a steam vent on the lid. She went nuts, vandalized his truck, called his employer, and spread the lie around the bicycling community. It cost him a job, and now he does nothing outside of work. The person he was accused of being is now doing federal time in prison.

My husband started pushing me around so I called his mom to come get him. She told me to let the cops sort it out and hung up on me. So I had him sent to jail. When his mom had to pick him up from jail she told him i set him up and if he goes back home I'll do it again. So he never came home.

I can be taken one or two ways set up as in set you up for a crime or set up like set you up with a boyfriend or girlfriend I'm assuming you mean the first one. Since you mentioned falsely accuse... However you could also mean falsely accuse you of for example calling someone a name that you did not...

Yes!! there was this girl who was obsessed with a guy I was flirting with back in senior year high school. That girl hacked his account, harassed all his family/friends, and accused me of doing it (online harassment) and he almost believed her. she’s an incredible liar.

When I broke up with my ex she freaked out and told me she was pregnant. When it became clear she was lying about that, she said she would accuse me of rape, which she actually ended up doing two days later. It didn't last long when the detectives questioned her but it scared the hell out of me while it lasted.
