Is Norway overrated? Why does it have a heroin problem?

I mean it's super secluded and gray all the time. Oslo has a huge heroin problem because Norway is so gray and depressing all the time that that's what people do. Norway didn't invent anything famous like Sweden (IKEA, Nobel Prize), Denmark (Lego, Little Mermaid), or Finland (Nokia, Sauna). Basically the only way Norway got rich was because of oil.

Other than that they're basically the peasant version of Scandinavians. They still worship fishing and whaling and oppose globalization or immigrant input as much as possible. They even cut themselves off the European Union. All the time being stuck to their own depressive gray country.

Basically Norway is like the European equivalent of Alaska or Northwest Territories. Except even those places agree to be part of a larger union (the U. S. or Canada). Some depressing gray podunk region. How did it ever become so great other than oil?

I was hoping to experience the "Norwegian way" to appreciate the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) soon after all travel restrictions are lifted due to the COVID-19 pandemic but your remarks kinda turned me off a bit. I guess I'll have to dig a little deeper to learn more about Norway & the locals to help me determine whether or not to push through or settle for views from Alaska and/or Canada.

I'm sure it's worth a visit but I'm more just talking about moving there and settling down there. To me the culture seems too small minded for that but I don't know.
