How significantly would your life be changed if you woke up as the opposite gender?

Question

You would be the height, strength, and attractiveness equivalent for your gender. I. e. if you were a strong man you are now strong for a woman and vice versa. If you were something like 5'8" as a woman you might be 6' as a man. Basic attractiveness level would translate over, if you're a moderately attractive woman you're now a moderately attractive man. Obviously if you're now a woman you can experiment with makeup to make yourself more attractive. Your sexual orientation can change or not change depending on how you want this to play out.

Your friends/family/coworkers will still recognize you and through the magic of hypothetical questions won't treat you as trans or think of it as weird but just treat you as they would someone of the opposite gender.

How significantly would your social/romantic/sexual life be affected? Do you think your career or career options would be significantly affected positively or negatively?

I’m slightly more sensitive/expressive than the average guy and being 100% hetero this has been a very tough life for me.

I’m definitely less sensitive/emotional than the average woman but I’m also more sensitive/emotional than the average man. It’s a very difficult in between “the rock and hard place” for me.

Over the years I’ve gotten better at understanding my mental processes and how this impacts my interactions with women. Unfortunately many women say that my emotionally slanted behavior is “good”. No, wrong. While I think most women mean well by that (and encourage it). The ugly reality is they just see me as another woman and less threatening. It makes them feel better about their own insecurities about being too emotional. This turns the vast majority of them romantically off (friendzone).

So right off the bat if I turned into a woman I would have the advantage of not being looked down upon for my emotional behavior. I wouldn’t have to control myself as much to save face for Freudian reasons. It would much less stressful.

I would definitely go lesbian but I would be the masculine partner in that relationship.

Well, the one absolute positive is that there'd be fewer things I bump my head into. Pretty much everything else would be a mixed bag. I'm not sure how much of an exterior difference there'd be, or whether the totaled up changes would be positive or negative, but I imagine I'd have a rough time adjusting.

I'm strongly psychologically masculine and have very little patience for the nonsensical social rules that govern human interaction. And while women have less of those than men do, there is almost no social tolerance for girls who don't abide by them. As a man, you're pretty much expected to say "No, that's BS, I'm not doing that" to at least a few; I've seen people get downright NASTY to women who do the same. I'd probably end up pulling a Hatshepsut just to get people off my back.

Although as an upside to that, I'd get a prosthetic beard, so hey, bonus points.

I cannot really answer it, but here are some of my ideas..
I think I could be a very good boyfriend and more women my age wants a serious relationship, so can more easily get to that. I already do not mind taking initiative, so I would just need some patience to get a woman's attention, which is more tricky as a man. I would probably get less sex since my libido is high. But I am ready to go for a relationship over sex for once :P
Not sure how much it would change my work life. I am in a male dominated world, so easier to fit in but sometimes it is also beneficial to stick out.

I actually do wish I was a girl. I like to think my life would mostly be the same since I am very happy with it except my sex (male) of course.

I’m 6,2 and skinny so if I were woke up a girl I’d probably be something like 5,9 and also pretty slim and fairly attractive (like a 7-9 but it’s subjective of course). Dating would be 1000000 times easier since I’d simply have to look pretty and not have to work up the courage to talk to guys like I have to do with girls as a guy (which hasn’t been a success at all). Also I think I’d have more friends and it’ll be easier to make friends which it appears to be for girls. I think I’d be closer with my mum, not that we aren’t already very close but I’m one of three boys and she’s always wanted a daughter and I’m very much like my dad mentally which annoys my mum sometimes, they’re divorced and I frequently say and do things that would remind her of the reasons that they’re no longer together.

Apart from that I can’t think about what would be different other than how I would be thrilled to have a women’s body.

I can imagine it’d have some negative impact on my career. Quantitative economics/finance is a pretty testosterone-filled world that’s not that kind to women.
