What qualities/attributes in a woman can make them seem "masculine"?

I've been told by many people I'm masculine for a woman, which I don't necessarily think is a bad thing.

A few of my close friends/family say I'm a mix of masculinity and feminity. My best friend is very feminine and we are total opposites in that aspect. My boyfriend says that he likes that I have these qualities because it seems like a good balance. Though I have a hard time understanding what makes me appear that way.

What qualities do you think of that can make a woman appear masculine? I know there is a gender binary so I guess I'm trying to understand others thoughts on it and how they perceive things.

I've never given that specific question much thought.

My first wife was "one of the guys". She was fit, muscular, cussed every other word, aggressive... if I hadn't met her parents and seen her baby pictures I might have thought she was trans...

That's pretty much me as well. I think it's odd that those things are seen as masculine but that's just how it is ig. I was raised by a single father so I guess I took after him in everything.

I can smoke but I'm a very lightweight drinker. I usually end up drunk soon while my friends are completely sober or buzzed.

I've never played those games. I'm not confident enough to lmao. I mainly played volleyball or badminton.

Every person is a mix of masculine and feminine. You are being perceived as masculine when you are: leading, aggressive, decisive, rigid, and protective. But keep in mind you will not spend the whole day being masculine.

Nothing wrong with being a more masculine women especially since life is so easy nowadays. I doubt that women called themselves masculine when men where going to war and farming, it seem more attainable to be masculine in 2021 because all you have do is have short hair and wear pants.

Yeah! It was fairly recent. I always found somebody beautiful but I think I masked my attraction with jealousy. Once I realized that was fucking stupid, I noticed I was very attracted to certain women.

It's not when it's done in moderation, but guys are always doing that stuff over everything, and it gets annoying. "Dressing like a guy" means she never wears anything the slightest bit feminine looking, and that includes your traditionally feminine things (skirts, dresses, heels of any height, a somewhat revealing top, etc). I don't like seeing my girl in nothing but sweats and tennis shoes, ya know?
