Nobody cares if a baby goes topless. If it should be fine for a grown woman to go topless, then shouldn't it be fine for girls of all ages to go topless, if they want to?
And wouldn't that be the best way to normalize women going topless, by letting them start as kids? Most kids aren't as insecure as adults are, and I knew several girls when I was younger who thought it was unfair even before we were 10 years old.
I'm not saying we should do this, but if women wanna have breasts be less sexualized and going topless more normalized, I think "grandfathering" a generation of girls into it would make the most sense.

In many European countries children go naked in public frequently and even in places where nudity is not permitted, any girl who is not old enough to have breasts goes without a bathing suit top. In other places all women at the beach can got topless.
I fully support all women's right to got topless anywhere men are permitted to go topless. Some years ago in Maine there was a court case where a woman was mowing her front lawn topless and someone complained and the police came and arrested her. In her trial she successfully argued that the law did not specify that it was illegal for a woman to be topless, that breasts were not sex organs and that the law she was arrested under didn't apply since she did nothing that was lewd or sexual in nature. She won her case and from then on, at least for a while, women could go topless in public any place a man could. I don't know if Maine has updated it's laws to ban public exposure of women's breasts. I heard of another case of a transgender male who had previously had his breasts surgically removed and when someone complained that he was illegally topless at a beach the police came and investigated. they looked at his I. D. which still said female and promptly arrested him despite the fact that he had no breasts, and had a hairy chest from hormones. He did win his case but on the grounds that he was male and the law didn't apply to him, this despite his birth certificate, driver's license and lack of Y chromosome.
Dude this is a terrible idea. I get what you're trying to say but it'll never work. Too many pedophiles would be putting kids lives in danger. Pedophiles act out when a child's fully clothed could you imagine if they weren't? There's also a lot of victim pedophiles (none active pedophiles) and this would only influence them into praying on innocent kids.
As far as pedophiles go I do see that they're a problem for this, but pedophiles can and do target boys just as easily as girls, and there don't seem to be so many pedophiles that boys shouldn't be allowed to go topless. So I don't think that argument should justify not allowing girls to go topless either, especially at ages young enough where there's no visible difference yet.

Yes that would be reason to worry. But pedophiles target boys too, and that doesn't disallow them from going topless. Boys can't defend themselves how adults can either. At that young age I wouldn't be any more concerned about a daughter than I would be about a son.

Yeah can't argue with that. I'd rather err on the side of freedom than fear, but that's a personal preference. I know the saying better safe than sorry exists for a reason. I guess this would just be so everyone can pick which they'd wanna do for themselves (given current societal fuckedness) rather than the law decide for them.
I don't know I usually just do it when swimming or stuff like that. It's less hot and air is nice. Also shirt doesn't stick to you when sweaty or wet if you don't have one on.
I get what you're trying to say but clothes can be practical — that’s why we developed them in the first place; I don’t like sweaty skin sticking to things and getting chairs damp.
it depends on the women, but if your more comfortable out of a bra then wearing one, then by all means, let your girls out & be topless. if your not embarrassed & comfortable with your boobs and their shape, then cool, be topless, but do it for the right reason.
It should be all ages. Sure we should teach young girls that it's OK, and it think I see your point, it would make it easier than switching while older.
Yes, but if we were to try and make them less sexualized, wouldn't young girls going topless be the best way to start? Surely girls' breasts are less sexualized than women's breasts, and children already dress more casually and are more willing to go topless than adults. And a girl would be more likely to be near her parents or an adult who could look out for her if some pedophile did try to take advantage of her being topless.

Actually, if you read the post, the idea would be to make female chests less sexualized by letting girls go topless. Because girls are less sexualized than women, and I don't think I'm the pedophile if you disagree about that. Also if you read the post I'm not even saying we should do this.
