It's a gigantic waste of time and money. Yeah, the whole thing was ugly, it was stupid, and it shouldn't have happened. 1) yes they’re allowed to chant their feelings and protest even if I don’t agree with them. I welcome the concept of protesting and having a debate, I have no problem with the concept.
2) I have not personally spoke to those people but it has been documented by reporters, federal agents and other law enforcement agencies that they were a people who were coordinating an attempt to storm the building and force the politicians out of the building.
3) do I think everyone at the protest is a criminal? No, of course not. Only those were on federal property without proper permission and through force is who I have a problem with.

And since this was known to federal law enforcement and was being monitored, why wasn't the Capitol fortified and properly protected?

Furthermore, were any federal informants or FBI agents or other undercover law enforcement involved in this planning? Was anyone who wasn't arrested involved in the planning?

Finally, do federal law enforcement officers always tell the whole truth? Or do they leave something out? Is it legal for them to lie to the public?

Okay you threw plenty of questions all at once so I’ll try my best to answer them all.

I mentioned I said in the third point that not everyone at the protest was a criminal. There were two groups called the oath keepers and the proud boys who actually there with the intention to stop the election process from being official at the Capitol.

Why was the defense of the building not fortified? Why wasn’t it properly protected? Good question and I have the same question too but that’s not my place to answer that, I look at our government with not taking these threats seriously and because of their ignorance is what happened.

The main important part they trespassed not to go wander the halls or just to take selfies but with the intention of stopping the political process of transferring powers between the president at the time and the president elect, fact.

I’m not on some liberal tangent or anything, even if liberals did that I would show the same feelings, no one is above the law and if you have issue with the law it should be debatable

Well, prosecutors trying to prosecute and convict don't always tell the truth, and it's not as if there's never any prosecutorial misconduct. Let's see their evidence. And what have they been charged with? I think there's a lot being assumed or accused of here without evidence. And it defies reason to suggest that all of these people planned to trespass on the Capitol together and stop the certification of the election. It's more likely that they saw others entering the Capitol illegally, e. g., during the Kavanagh hearings, and decided they could do it too.

And "not everyone at the protest was a criminal"- protesting in public areas of DC (with a permit) is constitutionally protected speech, not merely "not being a criminal".

Again, trespassing is a far cry from supposed treason (I can think of a bunch of politicians who commit treason on a daily basis, yet nothing happens to them).

And those responsible for the security of the Capitol and those who now claim they had info before Jan. 6th of coordinated planning have a lot to answer for. Maybe they should be investigated and prosecuted.

I think you’re not understanding that we ARE agreeing on certain things and not on others.

We agree on - people who protest are allowed to protest and not everyone there was a criminal or anything illegal. Those specific “protesters “ who stormed the capitol are.

We also agree on - law enforcement agencies and the government did a poor job preparing for things like this and did a horrible job handling the situation.

You’re mentioning way too many other things that is off the original why we disagreed. You said they’re wrong for trespassing but not treason. They (Law enforcement and The government) have proof along with journalists who discovered 2 specific groups of people had intentions of trespassing AND stopping the election process from being confirmed because THEY believe the election process was false. So they tried to stop it and keep the former president in power. That is called treasonous because they’re trying to overthrow the government’s election process which is a representation of its control.

Yeah, those who were waved in and did nothing else maybe should have even trespassing charges dropped (might depend on what sort of signs there were about entrance to the grounds of the Capitol). But this is obviously a political prosecution, and we should also be worried about the conditions they're being held in in DC jails.
