Why do white people complain about black people always killing their own kind but also have a problem with black people saying "Black lives matter" ?

The underlying problem is they don’t want to acknowledge the issue and they want to sidestep any possible culpability of white people, or even any sort of examination of the dynamic. Its basically just a reaction of “whoawhoawhoa…. what are you blaming ME for? I didn’t do anything!”, because they didn’t personally burn a cross on anyone’s lawn or engage in some sort of overt, intentional racism.

The bottom line is I think people are very shallow thinkers, on the whole. We can’t recognize and jump our own psychological hurdles in our own brains. Someone hears “Black Lives Matter”…. their brain starts conjuring all of the ignorant thoughts that live in there, and our egos get in involved. Not like “conceit” ego, like the actual psychological ego. The ego is controlled by the same part of the brain that controls our most basic instinct, the “fight or flight” reaction. To put it quickly, this part of our brain seeks to obtain pleasure, and even more importantly, avoid pain. Pain in this sense refers to any sort of psychological discomfort caused by our most basic negative emotions: fear, frustration, and sadness. You can honestly apply this to people’s involuntary thought processes in all kinds of arenas of life, not just social ills. And what’s really working against us is that the media, and I’d say especially right-wing media, is alllllllll about “OH MY GOD, THE SKY IS FALLING, NOTHING WILL EVER BE OK EVER AGAIN!”, not because that’s accurate, but because they people making money off of all this ain’t slow, they KNOW that’s how you keep viewers tuned in. Tucker Carlson wouldn’t have a quarter of his ratings if the constant theme of his show wasn’t “your way of life is under attack.” If he jumped on TV and just said “Evening, folks! Well…. everything is going just swimmingly, nothing really to report, so….. here’s a video of a squirrel riding on tiny water skis in a bathtub! Look at that little fella go!” Mike Lindell only has to pay $10 a night to run his MyPillow ads instead of $50k, because no one would be watching. People don’t respond to good news, you have to make them angry, frustrated, and most of all, WORRIED. I feel so bad for people living like that, just a dancing puppet to some media company who never had your best interests in mind.

So with all that said, this manifests itself in the “BLM” stuff. First off, right wing media has gone out of its way to mischaracterize the entire movement, highlighting anything violent, and ignoring anything peaceful. If you want to make an argument that CNN, etc have downplayed some violence and looting, I’ll hear that too, but the point should shine through…. ALL of these outlets are biased, not so much because THEY’RE biased, but because they know the viewers are, and the viewers tune into their respective channels to hear what they want to hear. But my dad watches FoxNews every night, and I hear it all, and it…is…NUTS, lmao. Like “tell me you hate non-white people without telling me you hate non-white people…. oh, wait, it’s cool, you just wheeled out Candace Owens, guess you’re not racist, my bad”, lmfao. Anyway…next time I hear “what about Chicago?”, I’m just gonna scream, lmao. These people can’t stay on topic, it’s just deflect, deflect, deflect…”let’s not talk about us, let’s talk about YOU.” The funny part to me is that, envisioning a hypothetical scenario of two black Chicagoans in a shootout, the winner of the shootout is now the automatic demon, the loser is a brief-crocodile-tear “victim” for as long as they’re berating the shooter, and there’s just no context. Who shot first? Doesn’t matter. Why were they shooting? Doesn’t matter. It’s just “don’t blame white people, these people are animals”, because THAT’S WHAT THEY WANT THE ANSWER TO BE. And guess what? If the guy who missed DIDN’T, and it was the opposite guy who was dead, the story would flip on a dime, the previous scenario’s dead guy’s mug shot is all over the news now as the murderer, and they’ll quickly appeal to your emotions with a “the victim, a father of three…”….. it’s all so fucking disingenuous, because if they saw either of those dudes on their own just hanging out, they’d just be a couple of worthless thugs in the eyes of these people. But when it’s convenient to their argument, it’s a tragedy and a social ill…. but really, they’re just scared that it might happen to them on the off chance they found themselves in that neighborhood, or that these folks will come to their neighborhood looking for them, for some illogical reason🙄 But if there was no Black Lives Matter movement, nobody outside of the Chicagoland region would give a squirt of piss about murders in predominantly black neighborhoods in Chicago. The most frustrating thing about the deflection is how painfully obvious it is, like you’re not even trying.

Bill Maher had a quote once that I find pretty true, and I’ll paraphrase a bit to clean it up since it was conversational and not from a monologue….”American conservatives are not libertarians…they like to say they are, since it has the word “liberty” in it, but they aren’t, they’re authoritarians. They’re authoritarians, they don’t want freedom. They want an authoriarian government who agrees with them and punishes people they don’t like.” I gotta give a standing ovation to that, SPOT ON. And guess who these mostly white conservatives don’t like?🤔

Because Black Lives Matter (can't say about now, I don't follow politics well) was only focused on black lives taken by police officers when statistically, there are 20 times more black deaths that are needlessly taken by other black men. People who disagree with Black Lives Matter tend to believe that if you are going to have a group called Black Lives Matter, then not only do you need to address the issues with the police, but you also need to take a stance against black on black crime.

That may have been changed by now. Like I said, I don't keep up with political issues, so it is very well possible that BLM has expanded their focus by now.

I think the problem is they just can’t see that they’re are actually reasonable people within BLM rather than the idiots who just go and burn shit down. There is absolutely nothing reasonable about BLM. Statistically speaking, white men are more likely to be shot by police by % chance. The only reason there's an inflated total volume of police shooting black men is because more crime is committed by blacks so they're more likely to come into contact with police. But most police shootings? Mostly towards white men. In the same situation, a white man is more likely to get shot by police than a black man. The past couple times there have been "racist" police incidents there is 0 evidence of racism, the victim just happened to be black. The people who claim white people are treated differently obviously have never heard of Daniel Shaver, who was shot like a dog, crawling on all fours begging for his life. That cop didn't get jail, and you can't cry racism since he was whitey. Nobody knows his name but we're all too familiar with ol' felon McOverdose Floyd. And saying police are racist is like saying they're sexist too because men are more impacted by police violence.

@Celtero you guys make up the majority of the population of course your getting shot more and committing more crimes. And have you ever considered that black people don’t actuallycommit more crimes but rather people THINK they do which is why they tend to get longer prisons sentence and more jail time then their white counterparts.

And have you ever even considered that yes it’s unreasonable that a minority of the country is committing most of the crime, so maybe they’re aren't actually committing them but rather with white judges that have your type of mentality do.

Most white people will gladly support black people, myself included, but BLM is bullshit that aims at villainizing white people and sowing division.

Here's how things go... let's use Jacob Blake as an example. The man violates a restraining order and rapes his ex with his fingers, attempts to kidnap their kids, she calls the police, police try to stop him, they taser him twice, he reaches for a knife on the floorboard of his car, gets shot, survives, and BLM riots at this case of "police brutality" and "white supremacy."

Anyway, that's all the effort I'm willing to put into any sort of convincing. If you wanna be a little BLM dumbass, be my guest, there's millions of them. What's another drop of water to the ocean? I just don't care.
