Hello, I am a young African American teenager. So far recently I’ve been seeing a lot of negative comments on Twitter towards the black community. I understand most are trolls but others are just downright old white conservatives talking about “black people are playing victims” how “black people are not oppressed” and how “the N-word is just a word.” Of course, I wouldn’t expect them to understand, just as I don’t understand redneck culture lol. But, I don’t understand why they just won’t listen. They have it in their mind that some black people choose to be ignorant, they think that black-on-black crime is something that came from our culture. When it’s caused by the outcome of their ancestors. Black schools and neighborhoods are heavily underfunded, and kids know nothing but gangs, stealing, killing, etc. It's like they complain about these things, but when we tell them the reasons they want to brush us off. Another thing is they seem to have a problem with black people wanting their own space. Let’s be clear ever since Elon musk took over Twitter we’ve seen the use of the N-word hard er. Now, it’s a problem for us to get away from that. Why should we want to stay on social media with people not wanting to listen to us, and call us names, meanwhile using our culture? It’s disrespectful and cruel. What have we done to deserve these things?

If you want a place that's occupied by only one group of people, then you need to accept that others are going to want the same thing- would YOU be willing to accept being excluded? Would you be okay with seeing "whites only" signs at the doorways to the halls of power? If not, what makes you think you have the right to exclude others? Do you really think that refusing to grant a group special treatment based on historical grievances is "hating" them? That denying the self-perpetuating violent aspects of "black culture" by claiming "it's all your ancestors' fault" is somehow going to fix it?

It's not that they won't listen; it's that they won't believe without evidence. Black-on-black violence is HORRIFICALLY high in this country. Is it because black people are genetically inferior, or somehow incapable of maintaining basic decency in interacting with each other? Of course not. But it's just as ludicrous to say "it’s caused by the outcome of their ancestors". Complex problems have complex causes- usually more than one. This is no exception.

Let's consider a parallel case: the Irish. They, too, were first brought to what would become this country as slaves- indentured servants, rather than chattel, so it's not QUITE the same thing, but with the same lack of legal protections and the same social loathing even if/when they became freed. They, too, entered free society at the bottom rung when that slavery was outlawed, both regionally and then on a national scale. They, too, endured crushing poverty, open and wanton discrimination, and de-facto ghettoization as a result of housing policies. They, too, were seen by "proper" Americans as racially inferior, with a culture that was hopelessly backward and violent, that had nothing to recommend it except some good music, and enjoyed nothing more than fighting and killing one another. They, too, had neighborhoods that police just didn't go into, because it wasn't safe even for groups of armed men to walk around if they were carrying symbols of authority.

Today? Today they're just another group of "white people", alongside the Jews and the Asians. That didn't come from demanding the right to discriminate against others. It didn't come from insisting other people not use hurtful words. It didn't come from calling for massive government subsidies.

If you want equal treatment, you can't insist on special treatment, too. Calling for the same respect that everyone else gets while you demand preference is hypocritical in the extreme; no one's going to respect you if you do that. You're also looking in the wrong place if you expect to find it on Twitter. 140-character limits and anonymity are a sure recipe for blatant assholery, and constant demonstrations that these people get to you is only going to encourage them. Venture out into the real world more; you'll find it far less unpleasant.

Black students do worse than white and Asian students regardless of where they are, or where they're from, because their IQ is lower (shown in every study, and standardized test), and increasingly they grow up in single family households- because black fathers typically abandon their kids. I've noticed in other countries that don't have very many black people, black people want locals to accommodate THEM, and when they refuse the blacks become bitter towards them. My Native American friend and I were discussing race and she said that blacks are the only race that has refused to adopt white culture/ideals, which is why every other region has progressed and advanced, but Africa is still stuck in the stone age.

However, reading your comment got me thinking, that perhaps it's not having power that's the problem, but how you use this power. So I completely agree with you that black people have a lot of power, but aren't using it to accomplish anything good. I'm gonna speak from my own personal observations and experiences. We surrendered Haiti, South Africa and Zimbabwe. We formed towns and even an entire country for freed slaves. Look how they turned out. History has shown time and time again that black societies collapse when blacks don't have white people holding their hand. There's a reason the only successful black regions are the ones that chose to remain colonies and territories of European countries. Black people in the US still aren't so bad, aside from the victimhood complex, but blacks from Africa and the Caribbean are far worse. I see it in my travels. Every other minority group has an economic niche with a proper job, while blacks either just smoke weed or walk around the streets with crappy bracelets harassing tourists. I experienced this in Rome. No other racial group was so disrespectful and aggressive towards White tourists and Italian girls as the Africans. Meloni is right for wanting to deport their asses. They want people to respect them, yet they don't respect anyone. -racism from the black community. Yes, this is something not talked about but there is a lot of racism from black people which include some BBC discord servers. I don't know if that question is for me or not. But I never argued that racism is not systemic. But a lot of groups get around et around systemic racism. Jews, Latinos, etc.

In our case, especially earlier on terrorism prevented that. You should know the massacres like Tulsa, Rosewood, and a over a dozen others. Then there is the fact, that race doesn't exist. We are descendants from a bunch of different tribes in Africa (and European groups in America). We had no cultural connection to each other. The only common ground was we were slaves and thrown together in a racial classification system.

We have to learn the game of racism. Of course it is systemic. But nothing stops "Black" folks from building a community and working with those who will work with us. Racists will never be fair. Their brains don't work that way. We have to make up the difference. We have to build our own school system, like the Jews did and have done. We have to create our own media like the Latinos have done. Going to racist institutions to ask for fairness is just silly. We have done that for far too long. When I was a Republican that was the message.

"Black" people have to build their own infrastructure. And Bush, for all the hatred he got, promised funding as long as the results were there and it was done using religious institutions.

We should have hundreds of schools around the country for "Black" kids to get an education. Especially for the poorest performing students.
