I don't think most Asians hate black people, I think that a lot of Asian countries have 0 life interactions with black people so all they get is stupid tv shows and bad news.
And then I think they are not taught to treat different people with respect in the way that you should not stare at people, it will make them uncomfortable. Nor should you ask questions about their body parts ex) hair In a way that would make them feel less than.
I went to a university with a lot of Chinese international students too, and though I never interacted with the men really.. my roommate was Chinese and she really had 0 interactions with black people (she was really chill though) the only thing she ever said about my appearance was that she liked how I could do a lot with my hair (bc I did a lot of hairstyles in a given week) but bc she had straight hair, she felt she was limited. Sweet human <3
I would say don't let it bug you, but I know it's so much easier said than done. Try to ignore them and realize their staring is a result of bad parenting and lack of knowledge more than anything else.

They probably dont see many black people in China and might have only seen bad stereotypes on tv
Asian women may be scared of you as a black man because a black man she doesn't know is more likely to murder her than a white or Asian man she doesn't know.
Maybe instead of blaming the poor Asian girl for the way she feels, you should be blaming blacks for having such a high percent of murderers and other criminals among them.
When I lived in LA, there were many Asians who didn't like blacks and would discriminate against them when they could. The reasons is because blacks would often steal from them or not pay them the rent due.
Suppose every customer that walked into your store had a number on his shirt, 1 to 4. For everyone with a number 2, there was a 20% chance he would shoplift. But for 1,3, and 4, the chance was less than 1%. Who are you not going to want in your store?
i never had a negative encounter with an Asian person in america (either Asian American, or an Asian emigrant). living in thailand for nearly a year i had few negative encounters. the ones i had were because they were weary of African con men and scammers that have been an issue and so from a protective standpoint they seemed guarded.
so i imagine it's just the people you met. they probably have formed conclusions based on the media or limited experiences with black people. but i wouldn't suggest that all Asians or even most are racist or hate black people

Asians love to buy into the model minority mindset. They are constantly money, status and power hungry because it will put them on the same level as Whites, or even higher.
Asians love to reinforce the "good stereotypes". Being the smartest and most powerful race on the planet, having the best infrastructure and technology, being famed for their respect and politeness and in general acting like the best thing since slice bread.
But despite their reputation for being polite and non-confrontational, Asians get really "defensive" if you challenge their notion of Asian supremacy. I've noticed a lot of Asian people are extremely hypocritical when it comes to racism. They hate racism when it's directed towards them, but are perfectly fine with it when it's directed towards someone else as it reinforces their notion of Asian supremacy. I think they are so brainwashed that they genuinely can't understand how someone could hate them.
This constant supporting of these stereotypes and the model minority notion by the Asian community has made them extremely racist, and no one is safe. White people are just as vulnerable as everyone else, as are other Asians. Throughout Asian countries there is this notion that anyone who doesn't look, talk or think like them, or even someone from their own ethnicity that doesn't fit the stereotype of the "model race", is a lesser being. There is no sugar coating it. This is pure racism and Asian Supremacy, by the very definition.
There's a way to be good at something while not looking down on others. For example, Black people, at least in the states dominate in the Sports sector, but don't look down on others for not being as athletic. Asians are the best in science and technology, but they look down on others who aren't, even their fellow countrymen. Basically, it's either THEIR way or the highway. "Our way is the RIGHT way, and it's everyone else who is weird." For this reason, Asians get extremely defensive whenever someone dares to criticize their culture and customs, and they look down on anyone who doesn't do things the way they do.Maybe its your imagination. Try getting to know some Asians. I lead cultural discussion groups with several Asians as participants. I was a member of an online forum called the "ModelMinority". I work with many Asians in my field they leaders in the tech industry as engineers and project managers.
Get off your tail and get out and meet folks. Not everyone is a racist. Not everyone even identifies with race. And it is up to you to get out, explore, meet new people and change your perceptions.See your experiences is different than mine. You've been around orientals who are actually from Asia. I've banged oriental girls and they liked me a lot. However, they either came over to the USA while they were young or have always lived here. So culturally it's different. So to answer your question I guess it is just a culture thing, but hell the USA has the most immigrants (Idk where you live) than any other country. Racism is going to be more rampant here than anywhere else. Yet again most of the time I only see racism from whites and blacks than say orientals or Latins or middle easterns.
Because of Western media negative depiction of blacks especially ones that live in Western nations. Asians in Asian countries and everyone else BELIEVES the Western media even without evidence that can't be argued with like a Black person can go visit Japan and almost always the Japanese will think that they're a rapper or basketball player. Since Western media often depicts blacks (ESPICIALLY BLACK MEN) as only criminals and thugs, a lot of Asian families will tell their kids not to date/marry them (ESPECIALLY Asian FEMALES) But some Asian women aren't falling for the okie doke
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoTNDgAoV8sMost Asian countries are fairly homogeneous so don't take it personally, it's just a culture shock. They're probably a bit prejudiced towards a lot of demographics, it's up to us to show them we're just regular people like them.
sorry to hear that, but me as a chinese person, i dont feel direct hate towards black people, it just so happens that i dissagree with a lot of people who happen to be black. i feel no hate towards blacks, just happens to be that i dont get along with them.
its just that many Asians never get a chance to talk to Black people so they just think of stereotypes. once Asians talk and hang out with Black people they get along well. that's why you receive discrimination from those international students there are rarely any Blacks at all in Asian countries especially Korea.
I would imagine that black people are simply less common than white people are in most Asian countries. Just a guess.
They seemed happy in Rush Hour
