I can't figure out the people who support my country's government?

I fled New Zealand to USA because it is getting crazy in NZ.

The gov wants people to report every location they go to to the government. The lockdown arbitrarily. They are trying to sieze control of land and water. Politicians have been literally locked out of parliamemt. The media has been consolidated into a single state funded company that just repeats the same inaccurate information all the time and tells people the governments new rules.

And they are making rules every day at these weird press conferences! This is not how the system is supposed to run!

And they are made it illegal to disobey the Minister of Education!

And some people think this is normal. And think I am exaggerating or 'dramatizing'. I am so confused. Some people tell me I am a bad person for not agreeing.

Many educated people have commented on the gov. There are mass protests.

That statement is inaccurate, because the doctor decided that it was covid that lead to the final demise of the patient. Otherwise it would have been a comorbidity. Apart from that, carry on.

They had an election in October 2020, the Prime Minister's party won with over half the votes, with 82% turnout (the rest shared among five other parties). Perhaps because they like living in a country where the total death toll from covid is 44 (not 44,000, 44 people: 9 per million population).
