Yes, it's real. Just because we do not suffer the severity of it yet (in our lifetime) does not mean we should not take it seriously.
Well, thank the oil industries for making the average Joe doubt themselves in order to make profit. I mean, who else could possibly profit from this?
Exactly thank you!
Of course I do. Only someone who is in denial or lives under a rock can't see that climate change is real.
Thanks for the MHO.

Do I believe in climate change? Of course! The climate has changed as far back as we have historical records.
Do I believe current climate change is man made? I don't know, because - like covid-19 - this is an issue where politics and public policy drives the story, and it is part of the left's political agenda. That does not mean that it can't be true; it simply means that I am skeptical of any discussions in the MSM.
If you disagree, does that mean that you think I should believe everything reported by the MSM?
Common Sense tells me it's changing put on five coats compare long johns hat and go take a walk for probably about an hour now if it's really cold outside and you get in your car what happens all the steam from your body plugs up the windows right that's a form of climate change right there the Earth has to breathe we have to breathe I don't know who's in charge of the rainforest who's in charge of any trees but they need to be fired I don't know who's in charge of major manufacturing companies the flute the world but who's ever in charge needs to be fired who's ever in charge who's making this planet better all of them 577 Representatives that hold office they all need to be fired if it's not lining their pockets they're not interested if it's not getting getting them reelected they're not interested for us having all these inventions and all these cool things and we were so wise were so smart we are the dumbest fucking people on this planet animals are smarter than us can you see we put our hands over your views we strip it down g u t it we could we strip it clean until there's nothing left I'm sure where you live has a plastic company have them make you a square box put some plants in there set it out in the sun put some cigarettes in there that the cigarettes burn pipe over some exhaust from your car put some ants in there some other insects put some water in there put 5G in there let's see what happens in a couple months couple years the water will lose all its molecules it would be no good any living thing in there will metamorphosize will change them how to add apps
Yes but I dont think it's man made anymore than I think that a runny nose is the cause when one has a cold. It's a symptom of the problem. What I mean is that we make temporary issues with warming the globe. We saw quick reversals when plants in China got shut down due to Covid and the skies cleared up and the temperature dropped a bit. I believe that the Earth will warm up again, as it has in times gone by. Actually, our planet started out much hotter than it is today. I'm not concerned that we are going to contribute to some global warming catastrophe. HOWEVER I do think we are going to be the cause for many people developing all types of cancers and diseases by not cleaning up the air, earth, and water. So for this reason I'd still like to see more clean energy options.
I want to see them implemented in a way that won't lead us to financial ruin. There's no denying that our Petrol reserves are a major strategic resource and an asset to our economy. I think we should have enough clean energy at home that we ourselves dont need it too much and foreign nations can buy off of us and we can turn a profit. Why let the Saudis and others profit at our expense? We can actually sell far more and have nations like North Korea for instance eating out of our hands. Same with other nations that are very aggressive. And then we can neuter them. If they dont behave and stay peaceful with their neighbors then we stop shipping them oil until the put their tail back between their legs.
I do and have read many of the reports regarding it in my sustainable engineering studies.
However, I also believe a lot of the alarmism regarding these apocalypse level predictions are wrong. To this day there is not an accurate 3D worldwide model which can predict the climate, at least not more than a couple weeks out. How can we know what the climate will look like in 35 years when we can't even model the changes?
I also believe that many of the proposed solutions are either pipe dreams or simply not impactful. Increasing electric vehicle sales quadruple what they are now won't magically solve anything. Neither will carbon taxes. Many of the proposals also fail to account for economic disturbances as well as resources. Why would the state of West Virginia ban coal fired power generation when the whole state is a giant coal mine? Doesn't make sense.
Climate change is a very complex and diverse issue with multiple proposed solutions but much of media and government discourse surrounding it makes it sound simple and easily achievable.
Well, when I look up at the stars, I don't have my view blocked by a shell of ice encasing the entire planet, like back in the pre-Cambrian, or risk getting stomped flat by a passing mastodon, like in the Pleistocene, so yeah, I think it's pretty self-evident.
Is it anthropogenic? Well, absent another ecosphere to and a LOT more resources than we have to experiment with, there's no way to know. But given the consequences of screwing this one up, it's best to take a fairly conservative approach to things we do that reasonably COULD change it.
The climate is always changing from a dozen or more causes. Do I believe in anthropomorphic "global warming"? No, I don't. Actual science, not rigged reports, do not support it.
Some things to consider. CO2 is about 400ppm. If that were to drop to 150, plant life would begin to die out. If it were twice what is today, 800ppm, world hunger would end except where leftist dictators interfere with commerce.
Are the oceans rising? Probably. We are nearing the end of the most recent interglacial period where ice has receded. But we will be under a mile of ice in may parts of the world in 40,000 years.
Global warming is a religion that has been commandeered by governments.
I believe in climate change. There is historical precedent we can all see.
The problem is the entire issue has become politicized and the only solution we’re told is to control and tax the population to prevent and even somehow reverse a completely natural process from occurring.
Even the argument that we’re increasing the warming of the planet doesn’t pass the sniff test. We are doing absolutely nothing tangible to compensate or henge against the supposed rising sea levels. Forest Fires are even worse because we stop fire from happening and then don’t clear the dry brush.
The people most “concerned” about climate change are the ones flying in private jets around the country lecturing the poor and working class raising money for their beach front manors.
Climate change in the political sense is a classist issue.
Of course, I believe in climate change. It has been changing for billions of years. Do I believe that humans or burning fossil full (the CO2) has any measurable effect on climate? Of course, I don't. At 1 part in 3,000, CO2 is a trace gas that has no direct measurable effect on temperature. At 60 to 90 times the average volume, water vapor (mostly clouds) is earth's greenhouse gas.
The atmosphere has been loosing CO2 for billions of years, and to add plant growth we need more, not less CO2 in the atmosphere. 500 million years ago, there was 12 to 20 times as much CO2 in the atmosphere and the temperature was very close to present day temperature.
I have some reasons to believe it's bullshit.1. It originally started off as "global cooling" then "global warming" and now it's "climate change" because the government can't seem to make up its mind about what it is.
2. Literally all of their predictions of catastrophic events never came true. Wasn't Florida supposed to be completely underwater at least ten years ago?
3. None of the elites who claim they care about what's going on don't as they buy their mansions on the oceanside not worried at all about it all being underwater in a couple years and that they fly their big jets to their climate change meetings. They are a bunch of liars if you ask me.
I don't really see climate change as something to believe in. It's clear that's is changing.
The climate is changing, there's getting rapidly more extreme weather, the ice is melting.
I do think a small, small, small part is the natural change, but we the human population have been rushing this change drastically.
You guys keep arguing using politicians and the media as the tit-for-tat of the debates.
99% of climate scientists worldwide agree that climate change is happening, and 1% disagree. So think about the consequences of your choice to believe/support one side or the other, here's a simple way to look at it:
Change - 99%
Choice - 1%
Your bet in this game is the existence of the human race, so which odds do you like better?
Very much so, we are getting really close to a tipping point.
Pretty much every country on earth believes it, anyone watching any of the last few global conferences should understand what the world faces.
it is personally not the thing that will get us, I think that is plastics.
Yes, I do. And in about 50 years, we will get all the proof we need. We have already passed the point of no return. Tech will help, but our thirst for energy will be unstoppable.
That's what we're told. I don't automatically believe everything I'm told, but in this case I have no reason to doubt it. No red flags or anything like that. In another 20-30 years we'll see if they are still saying the same thing.
I've seen a lot of solid science in my life that turned out not to be true. That's the exception, not the rule though.
I believe it is changing. I believe that we may be influencing it somewhat. I don't believe we are the driving force behind it however. I believe we should be mindful to not be wasteful and dirty, but I also think we shouldn't hinder progress of society to do so. As technology advances, capture and mitigation tech will undoubtedly reduce our impact on the planet.
I believe the climate is changing but I´m not sure humanity could do much against it without having to with less produced electric energy. Only being able to use regenerative energy would make live depend on the weather because there´s no guaranteed hours of sun or wind that are high enough to live with our increasing need of electricity.
So I doubt that humanity would do that because it would destroy our comfortable zone completely.
Obviously a legit thing. Probably too late to slow down humanity's rampage on the environment, and fair to question how much resources to put into trying to shove the toothpaste back in the tube when there are still thousands of peeps starving/dying around the world on a regular schedule.
So yeah, humans rule. And that's why humans suck.
Yes, our planet's climate is changing. The question is what is causing it. IMHO, it's a combination of natural causes plus human activity. There is plenty of evidence to show that Earth has gone through several climate changes, including Ice Ages, with no human interaction.
Are we talking overall or this man-made climate change scam bieng pushed to raise taxes and strip away your rights. Because yes climate changes all the time. But no humans have nothing to do with it hell the earth it's self has little to do with it. Almost all changes in climate are driven by the sun and there isn't shit you can do about that.
Sure

And that meat causes heart attacks. Thanks god to government to direct us. Imagine we were dumb like old Egyptians building those unstable pyramids.
