Nope. Find me the American equivalent of Britain's Lady Margaret Thatcher and I would vote for her in a heartbeat.
As one British wag put it back in the day, "Thatcher is the best man Britain has!" She was tough, she was principled, she - as another wit put it - "Knew what she thought and would tell you what you thought too!"
There are some pretty sharp American female politicians out there at the moment. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem pops to mind. However, South Dakota is not exactly the birthplace of American Presidents - Mt. Rushmore notwithstanding - so the odds of Governor Noem getting to the national stage, specifically the WH, are somewhat slender.
Beyond that, there are some very capable women in DC, but none seem to be WH material. Moreover, the women at the moment who do seem to have captured media attention - Elizabeth Warren, VP Harris, Stacey Abrams, Hillary Clinton - convey not so much strength and purpose as a sort of tinny brittle shrill tone.
Whatever one thinks of their political views - and I confess that they are not my party - they do not impress by their demeanor. They are more about the media than they are about serious governance.
That said, the day will come and when the right women candidate comes along, I will gladly vote for them. It is principles and purpose, not gender, that counts.

Yes, to be honest. Logically speaking, men are biologically advantageous when it comes to working long horrendous hours, keeping a calm sense of stoicism under stress, and achieving emotional resilience when faced with adversity. Most CEOs of Fortune 500 companies work around 70 hours a week, and most Fortune 500 CEOs are men. There are few women out that that are willing to do these things. Even my experience in the Marine Corps- female Marines can’t do what male Marines do.
The emotional resilience one has to possess to be the leader of the US is unachievable to most of the world. Women for example produce 7x less testosterone, and much more estradiol than men making women more reactive to emotional stimuli.
Also, let’s consider the age range. Women experiencing menopause are highly susceptible to negative emotions which cloud judgement. What happens if she’s younger, and is undergoing pregnancy? I’m not saying that a woman couldn’t be president, but the odds would be against her.
I’m all about freedom, but I try to use logically driven discernment when I formulate societal opinions. If a woman can beat all the odds, and perform, then she should the right to do so. If she beat all the odds, and I favored her policy, then I’d vote. I just doubt that a woman could, and it would make me apprehensive to vote.
Men and women are simply different. Nothing wrong with that.
I see a lot of men saying they wouldn’t want a female president because women are more emotional and men are more logical. But that line of thinking is based on a misconception due to societal standards. Men have so much pressure put on them to never show their feelings which often blocks their ability to express them in a healthy way. Women have for the longest time been seen as less intelligent, and combined with the stereotype of us being overly emotional, led to people thinking the two were correlated. Emotions are bad because women have them and women aren’t smart kind of thing. While yes sometimes extreme emotions can lead to irrational behaviors, this is not an exclusive trait for women. Men often times make bad decisions due to anger. Yet we don’t see people arguing against having male presidents.
I voted trying to imagine how men feel. I voted no, as I don't thing anyone would be bothered by this. A president is just a symbolic figure, why would anyone be bothered by that? It's not that it will directly affect their life?
If their wife became president that is another thing.

Trump predicts Rep. Elise Stefanik will be president 'in about 6 years'
President Donald Trump predicted at a closed door fundraiser on Tuesday that Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-NY, will "be president in about 6 years."
Trump's praise for Stefanik, first reported by The New York Post, comes on the heels of the New York congresswoman emerging as one of his most ardent defenders.
"I want to congratulate Elise on her success," Trump said, according to the Post. "Man is she moving fast. That means at this rate she'll be president in about 6 years."
Stefanik voted against certifying the 2020 election results on the day of the January 6 insurrection and has defended Trump's voter fraud lies, often under the pretext of "tens of millions of Americans" lacking confidence in the legitimacy of President Joe Biden's victory..

So tell me Trump Lemmings who jack off to Fox News / OAN / NewsMax and what Fucker Carlson says and Hannity. If this woman was running for office.. You wouldn't select her since your Lord and Master DEMANDED you to vote for her? #FUCKTRUMPYes I would in a heartbeat especially if she was a no-nonsense type of person I mean we had Trump who never mind. I'm not even going to go there then we have Biden who seems to be losing his mind and that's because of whatever the Democrats had plan for all of us if you noticed you're getting us right where they want us the moment there's a food shortage that's where we're headed you can you control the food you control the people there's a senator for my state she's a woman she used to be the attorney General she would make a good president she's Hispanic and she does not lie or cheat she took her job very serious and she did very good she's now a senator and I pray to God that she is not become one of the good old boys
Even WITH the women voting here, I'd say we have a consensus.
However, voting should be done based SOLELY on who is the best person for the job, NOT based on what they have between their legs or what colour it is!! If THAT IS what we're voting on, then I have no problem with a woman president, as long as she's not skewed based on what SHE has between her legs!! You're SUPPOSED to work for THE ENTIRE COUNTRY, NOT just those that have the same crotch design or skin colour as you!!
Except for one or two issues, Tulsi would've been okay.Personally I would love it if Candice Owens ran for president especially since we would drive the Democrats crazy that republicans elected the first black woman as president
No because I know that she's unlikely to win. It's not that I think a woman can't be president, it's just that I think a female president is unlikely to get a nomination then the actual vote. Hillary was close but she was a life long politician with questionable qualifications at best. It'll be another 20 years before someone with her experience and popularity comes along and hopefully much longer before Republicans decide to vote for such a terrible candidate.
If we did get a woman president I'd be pretty happy to see what she does though, just pray she's ready for the attacks that will inevitably come. I thought Obama had it bad but a woman? Good luck! No, I don't feel discomfort at the possibility of a female president. I just want whoever it may be to be the right one and has policies I can support and ideals that fall in line with mine to be followed up and met. That's all I ask of any presidential candidate on the ballot.
Example, I would have been willing to vote for Tulsi Gabbard had she been the front runner for the Democrats over Biden.Just like most people in the U. S... NO ONE cares about their sex or their skin color, by vote based on the candidates stance and political views.
Anyone who would vote for no other reason than genitalia and cosmetic melanin levels is an utter fool..Having a female president is not the problem. I vote based on how I feel about political issues and which candidate most closely lines up with my views. I also vote based on a candidate's votes if they ever held office before because how a person votes indicates the types of votes they will make in officer. No woman has run for president that I would back, but if one did then she would have my vote.
Not at all , UNLESS , its the like of this woman ( in the box seat ) , or the horrendous actions of the likes of Hillary Clinton , ( the presidents wife , is no qualification ) ..
A woman of substance and brilliance would be a great thing , BUT the last thing you want is some inferior FOOL , being the first , that would just destroy the cause for a decade. There's nothing inherently wrong with the idea of a female president.
That being said, looking at the potential candidates right now - Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Nikki Haley - they're all terrible! (AOC is the only decent candidate on the horizon, but that's still at least a decade away).
In fairness, it's really, really hard to think of any decent male candidates either, which I guess is how the whole Trump & Biden shitshow came about.I am only concerned about policies and how they affect our country and its sovereignty. I am not looking for role model, a paster, a parent in the White House and I don't care about mean tweets, your sexual preferences, etc. And no matter what picture the media and democrats try to paint I believe that MOST (by far) men feel the same way. I wonder if there has been polling on that (beside this post)... I'd bet if there has been the results weren't shared in most media, doesn't help the narrative that so many use to keep us as "a people" divided. And on that note... cheers!
I can’t wait for a woman to be elected President. I don’t understand these guys that get their testicles twisted over the idea of a female President. Whether a person can do the job is what matters to me, not whether they have an “inny” or an “outy” between their legs!
I actually think it would be cool if someone like Sarah Palin became president, not Harris by any means.
Gender has no bearing on me, I'd take a female Republican over a male Democrat any day.
While Palin may not be the best choice, there is plenty of good ones, Even Liz Cheney would be awesome.I could not care less if our president had a penis or pussy...
What scares me most is their politics..
We have to get past this sex / race polarizing BS and start focusing on who would be our best chooce.. This whole polarizing mindset is how we got our current imbecile...If her only qualification is that she is a woman then I wouldn't like that. If she has similar views as I do and actually acts on them then I could support her. If she runs against Trump then I wouldn't vote for her (or anyone else over him). Maybe in the future someone like Michelle Backman or Candice Owens could run for office, but not right now. They need to wait until Trump is back in and then maybe DeSantis if he stays consistent. After that one of those two I mentioned could run.
"The right person for the job" should be the modus operandi by which politicians are elected. Sadly, that's usually not the case, and elections are often swayed by emotions and propaganda, and not by policy or track record or even general intelligence. So whether my country has a male or female leader next, the chances are just as high they'll be a sociopathic career politician who would walk over the bones of dead babies if it somehow confered a political advantage.
Depends on who and what their policies are. Like, I wouldn't want a feminist as president. Though I wouldn't feel as confident about things if we had a female president in general as opposed to a male one... Things would seem fragile and America isn't fragile. I guess I'd say I just wouldn't feel comfortable with it.
No. It just depends on who the woman is. No Republicans but no extreme liberal women either. No Sarah Palin, Elizabeth Warren, AOC, Kamala, no women who have only gained a name and attention for just being mouthy or spewing out ideas just to get noticed.
I'm not worried about the president bring a woman. I'm worried about the terrible candidates that get a boost, like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris who embody what the patriarichy is.
Women like AOC and Ilhan Omar I are actually good candidates, although AOC has been leaning a bit towards the status quo in terms of Democratic party loyalty. The whole girl boss mentality to justify status quo policy only hurts Feminism. I don't want another Joe Biden, I want an actual progressive candidateIt makes no difference to me. I just wish we could have one president in my life that was not trying to cosplay Reagan. Or some little johnson Bush who tries to make up for their micro weenie by sending people to die in expensive wars. This is the 11th consecutive Reagan administration and this BS is getting way old. Clinton would be Reagan. Harris is obviously Reagan. Sinema is Reagan. Hell, AOC is basically Reagan-lite with better PR.
