A friend of mine called me once in a Park one morning and told me that she was raped and the guy was blackmailing her. Although I found little inconsistency in her statements , I did helped her with it as she was crying. It was in University so talked with her and the guys department , then to police and university administration. It turned out she went and had sex with consent and to make a different guy make jealous (her secret boyfriend) , as they had some arguments in their relationship. Now she didn’t want to confess to her boyfriend that she cheated so blaming this guy for sex. I had to go through some troubles too for helping her. Will I help any girls in this cases in future?

Yeah i mean i was part of this once and i caught an ex with another guy and she said it was rape so i said fine ill drive you straight down to the police station otherwise walk home. And i drove her to the station and she went in and talked to a detective and all that. I don't know what happened really she then wouldn't make an official complaint so i dumped her. There are cases where men get accused and even convicted on false charges of rape. But you can say the same thing about murder, theft, etc.

Perhaps there was some narrative that black people never get held accountable for the crimes they commit so if a court of law declares a black person not guilty of a crime, the people who fall for that narrative will make sure the accused black person gets the punishment they think he or she deserves.

If you have read To Kill a Mockingbird you see a false rape accusation against a black man. Despite the white lawyer's, who was the main character's father, attempt to reveal the lie, the accused was still imprisoned because he was black. Even though the story itself is fictional, it is generally hailed as an accurate representation of what life was like in the American south in the 1930s.
