I can't pick between the two, so I'm going to have to write both.
1. I am VEHEMENTLY opposed to anti-hate speech legislation (emphasis on the word "legislation"). As long as such a speech does not contain a direct threat, all speech, no matter how hurtful, hateful, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. should be protected under the law. The moment you pass anti-hate speech legislation, you're going to have to decide on *what* constitutes hate speech, and then *anything* could be considered hate speech if enough people vote it so. Thus, the very ideas that you and I are voicing could, at some point in the future (if not now) be deemed hate speech. There were times and places when Malcom X was considered hate speech, or Dr. King, or Jesus Christ, or Socrates, or Giordano Bruno, or Charles Darwin, or Dante Aligieri, or Muhammed, or Lao Tzu, etc. The way to combat hateful, hurtful, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, racist, or any otherwise bad speech (which is a matter of opinion anyways) is to counter it with BETTER speech and better ideas, not put a legal gag over people. Anyone who approves anti-hate speech legislation cannot claim to be in love with the maximum freedom to exchange ideas.
2. People in general don't seem to be evolved to be completely alone all their lives. There isn't a shred of evidence that humans are OK at being untouched and unloved all their lives. Are *some* people OK with it? Of course. I know several personally. However, they're the exception and not the rule. This whole idea that if you never meet someone, it's no big deal is unfounded and silly for the overwhelming majority of humans. We're not just a social species, but there is every bit of evidence we're a social, *PAIR BONDING* species. Those that don't pair bond romantically often suffer. We see this in other primates. We see it in cetaceans. Their life spans are shorter, their hormone production is often weakened, and in some cases they display a near psychotic behavior. Fortunately, much of the psychotherapy community is coming around on this. In the late 80s and through the 90s, they often peddled ideas that romantic relationships were mere dessert in life, and that all humans were perfectly capable of functioning and thriving happily without them. Whereas that certainly is true of some, I don't believe it's true of all or even most. For every one person you can show me who has lived happily and thrived without ever finding love, I'll show you many more who haven't thrived and are unhappy... and not merely because they're not doing the single life right, but in all probability simply because humans aren't evolved that way.
I agree for the most part, only issue I might have is maybe with the first one since better speech and better ideas isn’t really a guaranteed way to combat hate.
There are several great leftist video essayists who make videos but their videos risk getting demonetized, flagged, or mass disliked because of others that dislike them artificially making multiple accounts to make false reports/mass dislike their content.
Same goes for in real life, during the civil rights movement activists like Malcolm x and mlk where considered dangerous by the fbi and a lot of white supremacist groups would attempt to kill them or harm the people that showed up at these protests. What I call the “Anti violent crime formula” or “Wonder weapon against violent crime”.
Strengthen self defense rights so they can actually be recognized as actual rights instead of something that must be debated in court. This way citizens will not be at risk of facing legal issues for defending themselves, others or their property from any criminal.
The other part of this formula is to abolish the death penalty while also adopting Norway’s prison system.
The idea is by strengthening self defense rights, violent criminals will be less tempted to commit violent crimes. By reforming the justice system to be more humane, prisons can actually be used the way they are supposed to be used as in correcting criminal behavior. Thus significantly decreasing crime rates.
I have quite a few but these happen to be the most polarizing:
1. I do NOT subscribe to the notion of “believe all women”. I’m ashamed to say this but unfortunately rationality does not care for feelings. Far too many women take advantage of the fact that they are the fairer sex and tend to use this against men even in the most trivial cases. The danger with this is that when serious cases of sexual assault take place, NO women will be taken seriously because of the women who use the law vindictively. Furthermore, we are creating more hateful men who have been burned unjustly by the system as well.
2. Many women are only against the patriarchy when it doesn’t benefit them:
Yep, I said it. We want to take on traditionally masculine roles and to some degree women have (women are slowly out-earning men, we pretty much have access to most things men do, especially in the Western Hemisphere where opportunities are abundant) yet we cry foul when men take a step back and say “okay, since you’re strong enough you can take half of the burden off”. I was raised traditional, my mum stayed home and raised me and my siblings, my dad brought home the bacon. My mum never ever tried to play the role of my dad or switch to a more masculine role as their already was a man at home, and things functioned optimally. I know their will be “pick me” comments I don’t give a damn😂but you can’t expect to exploit the parts of the patriarchy that work for you (a man taking the lead and providing and paying for everything) yet complain about the parts of the system that you think work best for men (e. g Having his last name, potentially submitting to his leadership). And later complain.

I've seen so many sacks of shit get off scot free or with little to no punishment, whilst victims are either dead or ruined for life, because of the "justice system". My most "controversial" opinion is that (most) "bisexuals" aren't real; they're just homosexuals too afraid to go all in, and honestly, they disgust me. If you want to be gay, be gay. I have ZERO problems with that, or gay people in general. But what I detest, are homosexuals, especially lesbians, using, abusing, and exploiting straight people by just claiming they're "bi."

My controversial opinion is that ancient civilization was actually more intelligent than we are in that they could predict what would be the eventual downfall of humanity: women not adhering to gender roles. Ancient Sparta tried to be a progressive nation and they were wiped out eventually because of it, so that's probably where other governments started to learn from the mistakes.
Currently, the destruction of the family unit has resulted in depopulation where people are choosing not to procreate and have children. So now, I have to have at least sixteen children to try and make up for the "it's all about me, I want to enjoy my life who cares about the people of the future" selfishness that people have, so that we can all enjoy a retirement at 65. Other couples will have to do the same so that all the "childless, loveless, who cares" people can live comfortably.
I've already donated about 48 gallons of sperm to a bank to try and contribute to the future. We all have roles to play and duties to fulfill. Just remember that as you get older.

1. That beliefs shouldn't be respected, because one person's ignorance is never as good as another person's knowlege.
2. That censorship in general is wrong, and that people who view sexual acts in entertainment media as more disturbing than violent acts in them, are idiots.
3. That dangerous wildlife should be co-existing in the same habitats as humans, and that in order for wildlife conservation to work, most people would need to keep exotic animals as pets and breed them, including the large and predatory ones, because human expansion makes wildlife exclusive areas impossible.
4. That most adults are dumber than most children because of indoctrination and physical decay, and that, as people age, they get dumber, not wiser, and that having an old person lead a country is exceptionally stupid.

I'll name a couple of my opinions that some find controversial:
I used to be a big supporter of LGBT rights until it went off the rails. I am now opposed to teaching it in grammar school. I am strongly opposed to allowing trans women (men who think they are female) to participate in women's athletics or have access to women's only facilities. I'm also opposed to allowing transitioning treatment to anyone under 18 years old. The trans thing has gone too far. It has actually become subversive.
The other controversial opinion I'll name is, I know for a fact that there are unimaginably wealthy and powerful people who are conspiring to mold humanity and society to their desires. This is not a conspiracy theory. It's thoroughly documented and in plain sight. They include technocrats and eugenicists. They are self appointed and go about their plans without asking for anyone's approval. They want an undemocratic, totalitarian One World Government/New World Order, or the new, rebranded name Great Reset. They own global institutions like the UN, the global banking system, governments and media. They control all major corporations and industries, including banks, insurance, pharma and medical. They run every semi-secretive organization like the Council on Foreign Relations, World Economic Forum, Bilderbergers, and spy agencies. Many people are aware of this, but the majority have no clue whatsoever.

I genuinely think people should have to get a license to have kids, though I know it'd be impossible in practice and sounds pretty dystopian. Psychiatric check. (For the kid's safety.) Physical health check. (For the birther's safety.) Consent forms from both parents. Do they have a stable income and safe place for the child? I And a federal punishment for breaking those rules that actually means something more than a few years or a monthly fine. The whole kit and caboodle. It's really shitty how awful so many kids are treated because of terrible parents, parents who didn't want them, and so on and so forth. So many parents will up and dip on the other and leave the remaining person to take care of a whole ass human by themself while still juggling a job and whatever else. And that's looked down on too which is so fucked up? So many kids get abandoned too. The amount of kids unable to find loving homes and age out of the system is ridiculous. And yet so many people want to take away contraceptives and legal abortion. It's not like we have a shortage of people on the earth, putting more of them in it just to struggle and suffer is cruel.

Anybody who believes in mathematics, which is nearly everyone, is a racial supremacist by today's definition. Any talent can be measured and mathematically quantified. It's not reasonably doable, but if you were to quantify all the abilities of all races in all aspects/fields/etc, it is inevitable that one race would have an overall score that is higher than the other races, at least collectively (individually is another story).
I mean, a number can be infinitely accurate, depending on the decimal place. So even if a race coincidentally had the exact same whole number (which is already unlikely), you could just hone in and look at the next decimal place, getting more and more accurate each decimal place you look at. It's virtually impossible (given the infinite nature and exceedingly precise nature of decimal places) for both races to happen to be perfectly equal all the way up to the (theoretical) infinite decimal place.
Now, this being said, I don't think it is then reasonable to claim ____ race is better than all the others! Because while there may be some slight advantages they have (and inevitable disadvantages that other races collectively have advantages in), it's entirely coincidental and I'm sure their mathematical values shift CONSTANTLY, as people are constantly dying, constantly being born, constantly coming of-age (and thus competing better/differently). Additionally, with such a massive number of people, you can't reliably look at the number and be like "well, here it says Asian people are the best of reading quickly, so I'm going to assume that Asian person over there can read quickly" like it just doesn't work like that. So to be clear, this perspective of mine doesn't support your typical racist claims. They might try to claim it does, but it doesn't. Human variety, and thus racial variety, varies WAY too much for racists to truthfully claim this in any way validates them.
Western invasion of other countries are based off of lies to steal resources.
The West is a better place to live than the countries they invade for sure, but I think the that because they're basically on top, they want to stay on top and if that means taking out another country before they have a chance to take the top spot, then they'll do it.
This isn't an attack on citizens of the countries, nor is it an attack on the USA (I'm from the UK and we've done it too), but more so on the politicians or the people who are in more powerful positions.

This happens with all races of people in low socioeconomic areas. It's just that the media doesn't care about or report on the hundreds of white, Latino, or Asian men who get killed every year in America. It has little to do with race as much as it does with low income. And while I'm technically black to, I don't "identify" with any particular race or have solidarity with any of them. I think worrying about race is stupid. Most humans come off as buffoons to me, regardless or race or gender.
Almost all these fools dying by cops got way too much drugs on them, with no license or insurance on their cars with a bunch of domestic violence charges and theft and they got illegal guns. I'm pro gun as well... for people who aren't idiots. but I don't own firearms solely for protection with the underlying purpose of using them in a defensive situation against another person.
I am very well trained and very proficient and that because I practice a lot and have shot tens of thousands of rounds and competed all over the US and Canada IPSC and USPSA.
Arming people with weapons if they don't have the aptitude or willingness to be safe and proficient with them is not a good idea.

People need to stop putting so much emphasis on things such as race, religion, sex and sexual orientation. Be it theirs or someone else's. Because putting so much emphasis on the above is why equality has not been obtained and probably never will be. Because true equality can only be accomplished on a human level. So long as we continue to put so much emphasis on things like race and religion it prevents people from looking at each other as humans. Because we tend to put a given group ahead of the humanity of the person we are looking at.

I have few and won't share them. Because many low IQ people are in here and won't understand the point of it and am not in the mood to explain for dum dums. But! Her is one.. I migrated from Iraq to Sweden and i meet a lot of people from my country here in Sweden and have been living here for over 10 years but refuses to adapt the language and that effects them from getting better jobs so i call them lazy ass people that fears changes 🤷♂️. My own people (even relatives) has called me a racist and am not even sure that they do understand what the word actually mean when they say it and it's hilarious. I am talking about the language only, there is so much more

I don’t understand how that makes them lazy. Just because you don’t have a good job doesn’t mean you don’t work hard. When my grandma moved to usa from Saint Martin she worked multiple jobs that were low paying just to make ends meet. She was far from lazy, she was hard working. Just like most immigrant, working to provide for their families

It might seem like a good idea--but I am for no guns at all. The reason being--too many homicides have already happened as a result of firearms. We are the Number 1 country in the world on a list for MOST fatalities due to guns. In the WORLD. In other words--more people have died via guns in this country than any other country in the world. That's not somehting we should be proud of. Many of those were accidental deaths. A boy in kindegarten in the school I taught at, once brought a LOADED gun to school for show and tell. He was expelled for a month or more--and parents had to come in to the school and also at a police station for questioning. Guns get into the wrong hands--all of the time--and into the hands of people with mental illnesses. The result is mass shootings, school shootings, accidental shootings, and criminal shootings of all kinds. Tell that to the NARC, tell that to CLint Eastwood, and it is like talking to a wall. People are senseless when it comes to guns.
Society is already too deep in the gutter for it to be reversible, giving out more guns wrecklessly would just cause more chaos, you could end up having LGBT people protesting with guns causing more harm to society, the thing is nothing is stopping all these LGBT people from purchasing guns, as long as they pass all the proper requirements I don't see anything wrong with it, so I don't see the point of your post, I don't mean it in a way to start an argument, the only things that stop people from buying guns is the age, a bad background or drugs like certain medicines and prescription that have to do with different types of mental illnesses or disorders, if the blacks and LGBT can pass all the proper requirements like the rest then I totally agree.

Yes all people should own guns, to defend against government tyranny and protect what's theirs.
I have no idea what my most controversial opinion is because everyone on the left gives the same degree of outrage and ree-ing at the sky for any statement slightly right of center.
We should reduce the amount of welfare we give out because I hate that children are being treated like paychecks. I also think we have a lot of government waste when it comes to who is receiving it. We don't have enough resources to ensure that or medical fraud is being stopped enough.

I’d have to disagree. There are some parents that do that but a lot of people simplify the issue to these parents just being lazy which takes away from the complex issues that come in the society we live in when it comes to raising a child.
People are now having less children since it’s just become unreasonable for the average person to afford to be able to take care of themselves let alone another human being.
A lot of parents especially single ones don’t have any support systems either for them which is extremely hard when raising a child. As well as other issues such as suburbs and the increased use of car depended, etc which used to be seen as good but have actually done more harm than good.
We also do have enough resources, they just aren’t being distributed fairly. Many things we need to survive such as food, housing, and etc are commodified rather than treated like what they are which is a human need.
We currently have enough empty houses to end homelessness in America but instead the government wants to lie to us and make it seem like this is a problem we need more money and resources to fix when that couldn’t be further from the truth.
I understand where you are coming from, but free money has made some lazy about it. Look no further than the hiring shortages when the government was paying people during the pandemic. Some just straight up stopped working and collected a check.
Numbers have gone done yes as seems to be the trend on most things millennial and younger, but that doesn't discount those who do still have children.
The resources im referring to is hiring employees who are competent and not over worked enough to spot these fraud cases easier.
Trust me, I've been there when it comes to needing assistance. There was a time our grocery budget was whatever we could afford on the $25 food stamp card we got. We did it for months until we found a way to overcome it and no longer needed it. It should be there to assist but not be a means of a regular check for years.
Unfortunately in a society like ours where the American dream is built on the backs of those the successful stepped on to rise up, it always leaves someone at the bottom. Im not advocating for a communistic approach either, but I am saying that handing over money for no effort for extended lengths of time just does more to keep those who abuse it in a place of comfort. 1. No victim class advocates for censorship, for if one does, they can be assured that their opinions will be the first to go.
2. Women are the only group of voters where voting is the closest to being considered a right. In order for a man to vote, he must always be ready for the state to abduct him and to be thrown into the slaughterhouse of war. Women have no prerequisite other than to reach the age of 18.
3. Our rights do not come from the government, they are embedded into every human being. To say that they do means that not only does the government have the power to give them to you but they also have the power to take it from you for no reason at all, thus defeating the purpose of having the rights in the first place.
I don’t agree with the second one since it lacks a bit of nuance. White women were the first during first wave feminism to gain the right to vote. They excluded women of color from their movement and so women of color couldn’t vote until way after black men could vote in 1965.
I think pedophiles should be treated the same way as LGBT people. It doesn't matter if they are attracted to children, animals or gays. If they're going to use the, "they can't help the way they are" argument, then they should apply it equally to ALL abnormal sexual orientations. You can't just stigmatize some, and not others if the concept is exactly the same.
I know people always use the argument that children can't consent, but I'm not talking about the legality here, I agree it shouldn't be legal. I'm talking about people's mental state. So either find another another justification for stigmatizing it, stigmatize ALL of them, or just acknowledge that you're a hypocrite.
I think my most controversial one is that we need to bring back citizen militias in case we get invaded also as a countermeasure if the community is hit by a national disaster because of how military training includes survivalist elements

Mine is that I don't believe the alphabet community should exist much less have funding for their programs and their crap taught in school to influential children. Black people get zero reparations for enduring slavery for 100s of years and segregation and racism still in this day and age. Yet people who want to be abnormal and have same sex relationships or pretend they're not the gender they were born get to have all these people coming to their defense. Can't even say you don't want to date a tranny without being attacked but people can say the n word with no repercussions smfh.
Minority groups that put theirselves into groups are part of the reason why they aren't treated as equals. All mentally sound humans should be able to use a firearm to protect theirselves. That said, I take issue with your position previously stated that police are not here to protect people for a few reasons. I'll first pose this number to you, of all use of force incidents, only 2% of suspects suffer an injury of any kind and about a third of that, an officer is injured.
African Americans are the most victimized group in America when it comes to violent crime and statistics have shown that heavier police presence does in fact reduce crime rates significantly and it's been estimated that 1 murder is prevented for every 10 police officers each year in the country.
700,000 officers are here which means they prevent 70,000 homicides every year in the country. Since black people are most often the victim's of homicide, numbers would say that they're benefitting the most from a heavier police presence despite the narrative that they want to hurt black people.
Neutral studies in use of force simulations also showed that white officers were least likely to use force resulting in injury when the suspect was black compared to other races.
Also on a fundamental side, not all life is worth the same, when one person is trying to harm an innocent person, the innocent life will and should take priority over the life of the perpetrator and that's exactly what police are trained to do, protect the innocent including if that means bringing harm to the perpetrator if they have to.
I think the American Social Security system should be overhauled in a major way. Many people don’t understand the system well enough to have a fruitful discussion about the topic and jump to the conclusion that I simply want to take money away from the elderly. It’s a complicated issue that needs addressed in the US.

I believe that we humans are not alone in the Universe, and that there are many other civilizations out there. We may never get to meet them, though, because of teh huge distances involved and the time it would take to reach them.
