Why are people so concerned about being politically correct?

• I feel like a lot of questions on this site.. people aren't being honest or saying what they really think... And jus saying the politically correct answer... And the ones that are honest.. usually go annonymous... Why are people so scared to be ostrisized for having a different opinion from the norm?

have you got a specific example of what you mean because on the face of it you may just be confusing political correctness with stuff you just can't say on a public forum. i mean as a moderator im actually all for free speech and diverse opinion but hate and intollerance is a different thing

People only care because it affects their jobs.

Advertisement and invest will pull out.

Either bcuease they control it and beilive in being politically correct or be used they think that people will boycott and protest their product hy association.

So a company will fire you if you bring negative press

It is normal, the human being is a social animal, he fears being excluded by society if he gives a politically incorrect opinion. In my case, I am never afraid to give my opinion, however controversial it may be.

Hmm. Maybe cos I've always been a loner with no friends, and don't care whether anyone likes me or not... That I'm always honest
