Westerners have dominated the world for several centuries now, today we see that they are losing the monopoly of power (I say monopoly not power).

It would seem that many scholars are predicting a happy futur to China, India and Indonesia.

Between us I don't know if it will change much because most of these countries have adopted Western standards.

I specify that I know very well that Asia and the Muslim world once dominated the world for much longer than Westerners. but around the 16th century there was the European miracle.

China is starting a drawn out collapse. They've spent trillions of dollars on worthless, useless projects, like a spoiled 14 year old girl in a mall with daddy's gold card, and due to the rampant corruption, most of these projects are unusable. The first huge real estate company has defaulted and the other 15 are approaching that point.

China has had 32 bridge collapses in the last 5 years - none of them more than 20 years old. Thousands of other bridges are made no better. They recently completed a long bridge to connect Hong Kong and Macau to the mainland - a 6 lane bridge with a daily capacity of 60,000 cars, but actual usage is 500 cars a day, which means that maintenance alone will result in a recurring loss of over $100M/year. They probably just won't do the maintenance, and in a few years, the $140B investment will be lost.

There are endless stories like this in China. They spent hundreds of billions building a huge canal to move water into the interior, but no one wants that water because it's toxic.

China also has a serious population problem. No one is having babies, because they see all the problems in China, and they don't want to bring children into that situation.

India doesn't seem as well off from the outside, but are healthier and will be better able to sustain moderate growth, though their ties to China will be a problem as China declines.

As many real problems the West has - many of our own making - we're in little danger of losing our leadership position, even with Sleepy Joe doing his best to make it so.

China will keep collapsing for a while, they have so money problems that they will suffer from now and in the near future. Their lands are extremely polluted, they have a population problem, their building bubble has just broken and they have a giant debt problem. Russia is not going to recover any time soon in todays political and they also have had a shrinking population since the collapse of soviet union. Europe will probably keep its power since there is no rising stars but it will be shrinking too. US is in heavy decline and I see no will to change direction. So they will be bypassed by upcoming nations

Neither india or any African or south America countries are likely to become a bigger player soon but I think we won't be able to ignore those continents as much as we have in the past. Because they are catching up. I simply can't see any countries that will be a new power house. So the influence of great empire are a thing of the past it's more power will be shared between many more players and none will have a big upper hand.

The key superpower of the west is the ability to reinvent themselfs. Losing globally and fragmenting the world creates new opportunities which are more likely to lead to a renaissance in the west.

For the last 50+ years the west has been dying demographically resulting declining overall power. As that no matter how you cut power both economic and military depends upon having enough people.

The problem with China taking over however is China is in as bad or worse shape demographically they just have more people than any one western country, but still less than all of them combined.

China's main advantage is the ability of leaders unaccountable to the mob which controls culture to push thou changes, this however historically is much more likely to be a liability than an asset over the long run. As people who clime to the top of any hierarchy tend to want to remain there and use their influence to shut down and control rivals.

Indeed this is the main reason China didn't discover and colonize the world long before Europe did. China's centralized rulers didn't see anything of value and only risks and expense. Whereas European civilizations competing with each other took the risk in hopes of gaining an advantage.

We will go back to a multipolar world with spheres of influence. The Global American Empire was great for Western elites and their clients, but deadly to populations that were “brought democracy” by force and resulted in a painful decline of living standards and cultural decline for a growing number of Americans. Having been flooded by non-Western people, combined with tons of small arms handed out in Ukraine that will end up on the black market, I hesitate to think of what will happen to indigenous Europeans.

America has the resources to be self-sufficient, but suffers under an elite that despises the common people, the mass importation of foreigners to serve as client groups, and irreconcilable ideological and regional differences among its people. Inflation will no doubt skyrocket and become structural as the dollar declines, at which time I expect the cultivation of group identity by intersectional leftism will result in internal strife between ethnic groups. As a result, the US will probably suffer either a Soviet-style collapse and balkanization, or will have an increasingly authoritarian government.

What I like about the United States and some European countries, is not only that they are good places to live because of their powerful governments but also what kind of mindset they bring to the world. A powerful country establishes its own system and way of living to the world. I think I like the world to be liberal and in a way that people have the right to choose what they wear, what they eat and what they do as much as it isn't hurtful to other people responsibly (not that someone says what you wear breaks my heart or similar stuff) and to those lucky people who live in those countries (to those who want to change everything), I like to say that trying to fix something may look more complicated than building a new one from scratch at first, but if you look deeper, everything that is already there would have to be reimplanted from scratch and who knows it'll turn out any better. I personally don't think anything is wrong fundamentally with the current system of United States or for example Germany or England.
