What do you think of the US helping to share vaccines to other countries in the world?

I had read many different positions about this. The ones who are against it because ti says the US do not need to help anyone and the US need to focus on them first and not other countries. Let me add to the link that also the help will go to some South American and Central American countries.

The several comments I found on FB, of people who are against this help, some of these comments were :

1. "Do you understand that we are not the world’s sugar daddy. Get China to pay for everything. People are dying and going homeless in America"

2. "We Have Always Helped Other Countries. America is turning into a third world country, look at the ghettos , the homeless, the mentally ill. I didn’t say we shouldn’t help people, but why not help Americans first? Why do I get taxed so much to see my hard earned money going to study transgenders in Palestine? Giving money to China, who we are in dept to? Why not China pay for it? You better open your eyes, but it might be to late already.
3. "We Have Always Helped Other Countries It Is Time America Take Care Of Our Selves And Our Country FIRST".

1. "Many Americans do not want the vaccination for various reasons. Their personal choice. Every human should be afforded the vaccination.

other nations do not have access to the vaccinations - that many Americans refuse to take there's a lot of people who refuse to get vaccinated in this country. And by the way, helping the world in general to get vaccinated by doing this, will help all of us. It will help cut down on any variants that will develop and possibly affect us in the future" .

You make it sound like the US is the only country sharing the vaccine and the whole world is kneeling down begging for it, while in fact it's all first world countries doing it, US UK France Russia...
I said it the last time you asked: covid will never truly end until the entire planet is vaccinated. If the US only vaccinated their own out of ideology and some sort of patriotism the pandemic will never end because some countries will not be able to and as covid gets worst more variants will show up and if a variant makes it to the US it's pandemic 2.0 all over again. So vaccinating others is a humanitarian act but not something that weakens those countries it's in fact the opposite.

I’m not opposed to sharing the vaccines, on two conditions;
1) That we have ample supply here in order to make sure that every man, woman, and child has access to them.
2) That those nations who receive then can reimburse the United States for at least the cost of the vaccines, and any costs incurred by shipping them. Obviously there are some nations that probably don’t have the ability to pay in cash, but I am certain that every one of those nations can find something within their borders that would be beneficial to our country.

Yes I think we should share the vaccine with the rest of the world. We are doing fairly well with the vaccination program here. And it doesn't mean that we have to give it away. Maybe charge cost and shipping.

So yes, I am all for the US sending off vaccine doses to other countries in need.

It's a good idea to share the vaccines. First, we have excess vaccines, as many people don't want to be vaccinated. Second, the more people around the world who are vaccinated, the safer it is for us. That's because the more people who are vaccinated, the less likely that a stronger variant will appear, or possible a vaccine resistant variant appears. Thus, giving vaccines to others helps protects Americans, as well as those in other countries.

I believe we as Americans should have first dibs and with what’s left over share it but not with China Russia or any country that can afford to pay for it it should go to less fortunate countries starting with our neighbors and panning out from there. So give to the less fortunate and sell to the rest. As far as people refusing vaccines set a date that they have to sign up for them and if they don’t sign up they lose their chance.
