Easy acces to guns is only one of them, as other countries with lots of guns in private hands are having far less shootings.

Than there is the health care system, which costs too much for the poor people to afford something like therapy for mental health issues.

And probably some other smaller reasons as well, like how the education system works, or how fear is used in many media and narratives to push an agenda, the "us vs. them" bullshit which is really common (from what i can gather as someone livinging in Europe)...
