Not your fault if this has your conscience bothering you! I think you know that, and would recommend a new property management Co. I worked for one many moons ago and would've fixed his door immediately no matter how busy!

I do not know what having a broken door has to do with this guy killing himself. It is his fault.

More likely It was an accumulation of little things, nothing on it's own seems significant but together they were unbearable. Not having the security of being able to close a door and the constant refusal of help by maintaince would have been frustrating and depressing.
Not your fault dear. If he committed suicide then he had underlying problems that went far beyond a broken door.
I think he was depressed and had no one to turn too, no family, no friends
So your theory is he committed suicide over a door? That sounds absurd.
I don't know. I don't believe it was just about the door as I find that to be absurd. You would have more luck asking his family or people that knew him.
He had much deeper issues.
It was the building manager's fault.
Fire them.
