What I mean in this question is that, do you want treat women better than you would a man in a similar situation.
Here are examples
•A man & woman make the same exact mistake.
-Do you treat the woman better? Console her? Excuse her behavior? Help her more?
•A man and woman exit from the store.
-Do you find yourself holding the door open for the women more than men?
These are but a few examples
For me, I try not to. I try to treat everyone as equal as I can in my treatment just because I feel that is the right thing to do and I have no other reason to treat women better than men.
I think men naturally do this because they feel it will increase reproductive success which I don’t think has ever proven to be true.
I can at least notice when I’m being biased or too nice to a woman, where I wouldn’t be with a man and correct myself.
Personally, I would like to think self-respecting women will want equal treatment and little to no favors done to them because their women.
So, in a way, I feel like they wouldn’t like it if I held the door for them but not for a man in the same position.
I personally wouldn’t like myself for doing this.
It just feels fake or gross.
