For me, I try not to. I try to treat everyone as equal as I can in my treatment just because I feel that is the right thing to do and I have no other reason to treat women better than men.
I think men naturally do this because they feel it will increase reproductive success which I don’t think has ever proven to be true.
I can at least notice when I’m being biased or too nice to a woman, where I wouldn’t be with a man and correct myself.

Now, if I fancy a specific woman or want to get worn a woman then of course I will be nicer to her over everyone else naturally.
Personally, I would like to think self-respecting women will want equal treatment and little to no favors done to them because their women.
So, in a way, I feel like they wouldn’t like it if I held the door for them but not for a man in the same position.
I personally wouldn’t like myself for doing this.
It just feels fake or gross.
Do you have bias or soft spot for women over men in your treatment of them?
I try not to treat people differently based on gender. I've noticed myself being extra nice to people that I have a crush on, or that I want to be friends with, but that's about it. Although, if you're going on the assumption that it has to do with attraction, I'm bi, so that could be a factor. But I'm also extremely picky. I'm not at all interested in the majority of people.
I have noticed that a lot of people, guys and girls, tend to be extra nice to me, but I think that that has a lot to do with my having a "baby face." That makes even more sense when you consider the fact that they may be extra sweet and gentle with me, but they also tend to operate on the assumption that I'm a bit incompetent. People will try to explain basic concepts to me that any adult would know. It's a bit annoying, but it's also one of the most well studied appearance-based biases in existence. If you have a young looking face, even if people know your actual age, they will automatically view you as nicer, sweeter, and more innocent, but also as significantly less intelligent and less competent at work.
Now, women tend to have younger looking faces. Many beauty standards for women (big eyes, clear skin, pouty lips), are very close to traits that are common in children. Which is a little creepy if you think too hard about it, but the point I'm getting to is that the baby-face bias is probably something that effects women more than men, simply due to differences in facial structure. We also don't grow hair on our face after puberty. So if you see women getting more gentle treatment than men, it might not always be because of attraction. It might be because they look young.

In other things maybe maybe not. If a girl made a mistake I think as I would with a guy evaluate how avoidable it was. I am not going to dress down either of them as I seek to get discretionary effort out of my staff. It takes a long time to build up and can be lost in one sentence or less.
Probably would give the girl more of a break on a very stupid mistake but in other ways I didn't. I would be highly annoyed if there was a fault and a girl would pack up leave at 5:30 pm while guys in the team work back to fix it.
It was highly desired to get into the team I was leading and long before there was any vacancy people would be making their interest and keenness known. That was a major selection criteria. I would groom them in a way and see if they read the manuals - that sort of stuff. At a time a guy and a girl were coming frequently past my team area.

Men are evolutionarily designed to protect women. Sorry to say this but women are reproductively more important than men to the continuation of species. Without women, population will cease to exist. In addition to that, many females used to die during childbirth hundreds of years ago. Female's death rate from childbirth has only declined over the past 50 years. So having a enough females was very crucial to the survival of human species. Women are also responsible for raising the next generation. Men were responsible for hunting. So if women did not exist, there will be no next generation.
Women are also more sensitive, weaker than men. Men are aware of this. As humans we are designed to be softer on those who are weaker , smaller. Same way adults aren't as cruel to children as they are to other adults. Older people will always be more caring to younger folks than to someone their own age. Its is part of how humans have evolutionized over thousands of years.
No. I don’t treat either party differently in terms of fairness. But I do treat men and women differently based on the fact that both can respond differently to certain instances. Like, I’ll hug my female friend and tell her not to worry after she tells me she didn’t get the job she wanted. But I’ll give my guy friend a good smack on the back and tell him “alright, let’s continue the search.” Men and women respond differently to times of bad news and trauma. So it’s best to read the room and know who you’re providing comfort to. Women tend to be more emotional while men tend to be more optimistic. (That’s a good thing) with men and women being proficient in one and not the other, we create a balance. With this we are able to help each other 👍🏻
Yep. It's not so much that I'm extra nice to women (and I'm certainly not expecting anything from them) - it's really just that most guys are dickheads.
It all starts in school. Girls always get more help (and better grades) from teachers, because they're generally more pleasant and charming, and better behaved in class than the boys, who are generally more disruptive and either cocky little shits or socially awkward. The thing is, none of that really changes until they're well into their thirties.
Women definitely get treated better. It reflects in the laws even. Me personally I'm aware of the male and female dynamic but I mostly look at people like they are human beings. Once I'm going to help someone and do something toward them it only varies because people need varying levels of help. My approach is not normal but I do find it to be better than thinking "Jessica is wearing blue with big breasts and Dave is wearing red with medium muscles. Well I'm not into dick so Dave can go jump off a cliff so there's more Jessica form!" Yes I have run into people with that mindset both guys and girls very crab in a barrell.
You’re kinda in a couple of different realms with your thoughts on being soft in my opinion… but I get your point. I genuinely try to be a gentleman, sadly I don’t think it’s appreciated by women in general but they still want you to be a gentleman. “I don’t do it for them I do it for society” respecting women needs to be past on to the next generation.
As for a soft spot more or less I walk on eggshells not knowing what is except-able from one day to the next. There is a standard of gentlemanly behavior for men as well and I usually follow those guidelines. But men still need the opportunity to be men and that’s becoming less of a thing and that’s sad. In general you’re not being judged buy men as much as women. So a innocent joke with a raunchy punch line is not likely to get you in trouble with HR or get scalded at a grill out. Still I’m stern with men and women all the same when necessary.
I treat everyone equally unless someone makes me feel uncomfortable, an example: Men/Women who you catch staring indecently, being rude, etc, then I take distance and ignore them. When someone looks like they're going through stuff I tend to be gentler and more open to them if they look like they wanna talk or something.

I do have a soft spot for women if the make a mistake or something along those lines especially while in traffic. Women deserve much respect I would never get an attitude with a lady unless she is a total witch. I come across those from time to time. I have the same soft spot for a sweet old man. Dudes who are not pecker heads get respect from me but not the same as a lady.

Usually no I don’t treat women better but sometimes I may indeed have more of a soft spot when a girl os facing some kind of problem or hardship and I believe this is due to the fact that men tend to pretend that they are oh so tough and strong and never experience any hardship.

It's reasonable to me. I'm not exactly "biased", I think empathizing is generally hard whether it's with a woman or man. But it takes more effort to empathize with men because by default many of us have a dismissive attitude towards men's problems and ditch their side of the story for the "prettier" and more alluring side. The reasons are complex.
Women's point of view is immediately present most of the time. Having that soft spot usually helps me get to the reality of the situation faster.
