And for those who don't know about this, there are certain animals that fart methane and the methane somehow contributes to climate change.
And I'm not sure if Alexandria knows this or not, but cows aren't the only culprits that are farting methane. I googled a list of animals that fart methane, but I can't remember all of them. I believe l can certain types of deer also fart methane. And I believe it was this site where a guy told me that termites also fart methane.
So that will take quite a task force to round up all those termites.
If Joey does sign an executive order for the Roundup of termites, I think the FBI should do it. If they've got time to look for his daughter's diary that got time to round up the termites.

OK, I was being lazy, so I looked it up. The animals that produce the most methane, are called "ruminants." They all have four stomach compartments. buffalo, cattle, goats, sheep, deer, cameloids and wildebeest
All animals produce some methane, but some produce very little.

Imagine the spectrum of plausible anthropogenic global climate change as a yardstick. Global warming would be about nine inches; the Greenhouse effect would be two, and carbon dioxide would be maybe a barleycorn. Maybe.
The consequence is that those who speak of one's "carbon footprint" when discussing the issue can pretty much be ignored; they're pushing an agenda, not seeking to fix a problem- CO2 is a minor greenhouse gas. Methane's another issue, even if you DON'T take clathrates into consideration.
But as you say, unless you're somehow going to control WILD animal populations, down to the INSECT level (beyond that, actually, but one thing at a time), it'd accomplish little to nothing. The only real options we have 1. start building nuke plants like crazy, 2. draft legislation to violate Yellowstone's protected status and start building geothermal plants there (if we tapped the power it's generating RIGHT NOW, we could meet the current energy needs of the entire planet- and that's *energy* needs, not electricity ones), and 3. fail to move past fossil fuels. That's it. Wind and solar can HELP, but they're not going to be anything more than an offset for a LONG time, and that's with heavy research.
Did anyone bother to tell her that methane produced by cows can actually be used as a biofuel? Also the carbon print of cows depends entirely on what they are eating. Grazing cows don't have that much of a carbon footprint.

There was a girl on this site who asked a question and it was about when AOC first moved to DC. The girl on gag seemed to be in tears because AOC couldn't afford a bed frame. No I would not vote to cause starvation of people, as banning cows would lead to that... with no way to make up that much lost food production. Cows actually get pretty good mileage, compared to land needed to grow plants.

Everyone adding just one day a week a vegetarian based diet has a noticeable impact on the environment and that was the intended message. That is still a good place to start.
Even the virtue signaling alone kicked off entire businesses that created meat alternatives that got better over time. I still want steak made for special days but for fucking crazy days and i just need to eat something from a convienance store like those hotdogs, plant based dogs will make a huge difference globally. Cows that are grass fed and allowed to graze their entire life actually help sequester carbon and improve the soil quality. Before humans came along there were millions more ruminate animals and the climate was fine. Cows aren't the problem. Also, meat, including red meat, is very nutrient dense and the vitamins are in the form we need them to be in. Humans spent a large portion of our recent evolutionary history consuming meat. The problem regarding our diet and health is processed oils from plants largely.
I'm on a diet, but it's not a weight-loss diet. It's a health diet. The guy behind this diet says that cholesterol is your friend, and to dump oils. I've known for a long time that margarine was poison, and real butter was good for you. This guy wants us all to eat six eggs per day, but not all in one sitting.

I was listening to the radio today, and they said that Bill Gates is buying up hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland. I was curious why. The host said that he thinks Americans have too much food, and we shouldn't be eating meat. Bill used to be a hero to me, because he was the ultimate success story. Just a couple of kids working out of a garage, and now the entire world uses Microsoft.
But somewhere, Bill went off the deep-end. Now he says math is racist. He doesn't think that 2 + 2 should equal 4. He believes that you should just be able to interpret the answer in your own way. lol

There was a very eloquent woman of color who ran against her in 2020. She was a newsperson I think and had a really good grasp of the issues. If they had a debate AOC would have gotten her head handed to her. She still lost. I think the district is more suited to getting free stuff and not thinking about tomorrow.

@stevienix. First off, if you thought the covid lock downs made the people crazy. Just try shutting down most of the vacation possibilities. Next thought. If a plane holds 300 people. If those people decide to travel to the same destination in their cars. Worse case, 300 cars. How much pollution would be saved? It is like 50 motorcycles going for a Sunday ride. A bus probably would emit less pollution. I agree we need cleaner energy. But it can not be done over night! Also if countries like China doesn’t do it. Why should everyone in the US suffer what we are going through now? Does China have their own atmosphere?
Then stick to my comment on cruise ships. If you really believe in climate change, then cruise ships should be banned. The government will never do that, because they don't even care about climate change. They just want more tax money to fund their pet projects.
Remember when Joey had the Covid relief bill to help struggling Americans? 10% of that money went to struggling Americans. Joey sent one billion to India, and I think about 40 million to Pakistan so they could invest that in "gender studies."
@stevienix. I will not argue your point on climate change. But my point is. Cruise ships hold a couple of thousand people. If you were to divide the pollution emitted by the ship by the number of people on it enjoying their cruise. The pollution per person is probably less than anyone could guess. If you want to ban cruise ships. Why not ban all international ships hauling freight that could be manufactured in the United States? Or even oil tankers since we have our own oil or access to Canadian oil via the bad bad oil pipe line that was never finished.
