It seems our favorite mindless drones have fallen in love with Neo Cons lately!

They've taken Max Boot, Bill Kristol, Jennifer Rubin and now we're supposed to get along with Liz Cheney's charade of "Defending Duhmocwacy"!

Oh, I totally believe that an extremely corrupt politician like Ms. Cheney, who literally supports torture and is daughter of a war criminal, is defending duhmocwacy!

It's quite amazing how Liberals embrace every Neo Con's talking point this current year, don't you think?

So…. maybe you missed it…. this guy Donald Trump lied and said an election was stolen when it wasn’t, and became the first President in the history of the US to not peacefully transfer power after a fair election. And crazily, a lot of this Trump guy’s lies about the election, and clung to wild conspiracy theories to explain away any obvious evidence of the truth. In fact, there were so many of these people who bought the lies and have a strange, irrational fealty to this Trump fella, that the other politicians of Trump’s party were too scared to contradict his lies, for fear of those voters turning on them. Luckily, some people have character and courage, and are attempting to speak out against Trump and his lies, in an attempt to corral all these looney toons who used to vote for them who have completely gone off the deep end, and also just to preserve the Constitutional system we have in place for elections and whatnot, because going forward, now all you have to do is be popular and claim fraud, and even without real proof, apparently many people will ride or (in some cases literally) die for you. It’s an amazing phenomenon to watch from outside. Fascinating, but frightening. Anyway, check out the internet, I’m sure there are some stories about all this that you can get caught up to speed👍

from Article 2, Section 1:

"Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress"

Trump was wrong about there being a huge number of fraudulent votes, true. But there is some validity to the argument that several states altered the "Manner" without the action of the legislatures of those states. The governor of the state, the Secretary of State for the state, other executive officials of the state, do not have constitutional authority to alter the manner. Only the legislature does.

@TroyDT well, look, man, it’s too early for me to get into Constitutional semantics, and I don’t have time to research further, so I’ll just take you on your word and concede the point to you. But I’m pretty sure the bottom line is what you’ve conceded, there was no widespread voter fraud. We don’t need to get into the allegedly criminal side of it with “alternate” slates of electors. I’m sure that will be reviewed and ironed out by the appropriate people. But, while I don’t call myself a liberal, nor am I even 100% on the distinction of a “neocon” vs other brands of Republicans, what’s very plain to see for me is that there was a historically bad event that occurred in response to what seem to be blatant lies from Trump that were bought by nobody except those looking to be sold them. There was of course a fallout from this event and everything that led up to it, and, sadly, it’s become a litmus test for who’s sane or not in this country. And I don’t even think all of the allegedly “insane” I refer to are all necessarily bad people, I think they’re just gullible and got swept up in the Trump hype train, and the REAL villains are the right wing media outlets who cemented these crazy lies into their receptive viewing audience’s head as fact. Those people should actually LOVE Liz Cheney, she’s a Republican, and she CLEARLY loves and respects this country and it’s system of government.

And I love the “he’s one of us” shit…. he’s a fucking billionaire born with a silver spoon in his mouth that he just managed to trade in for a gold one, he’s not climbing out of a coal mine lmfao. I don’t know, it’s just the biggest and most obvious grift I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’m sad to see so many people fall for it hook, line, and sinker.
