This "apparently" was a mistake. But from a political party who covertly tosses red meat to these extremists... I'm not sure this is a mistake.

For An Actual Link that Isn’t Biased
From the CNN article:
”The image originally appeared in a Mother Jones article from 2020 entitled, "The Republican Party is Racist and Soulless."
Oh shit! So a Leftie publication originally created the image!
And now it’s a Leftie getting sand in his vagina over it, and blaming it on Republicans!
Just another day in America. No propaganda or bias here!
🖕
Yeah fuck the KKK I will point out that the KKK was invented by the Democrat party. I am considered to be a far right wing extremist but I don’t support the KKK or neo-Nazis or Liz Cheney. I do support constitutional Originalism basically if an amendment was written in 1866 (14th amendment). You have to interpret that amendment as it was written in 1866 at what you wish it meant in 1973 or 2022 or the 4th amendment written in 1789 none of which would have Protected abortion or what they founders or congress meant in 1789 or 1866. Clarence Thomas is my favorite SCOTUS judge he is black if I supported the KKK or neo Nazis why would I support Clarence Thomas because both the KKK and neo-Nazis are in favor of white supremacy
Out of curiosity where did the kkk start? It was in kentucky. I don't know about you but kentucky is a southern republican today that takes pride in Confederate heritage.
Calling there ancestors democrats might as well be shiting on there graves. They should be called good old amarican conservativitism at its prime.
@NaultD Kentucky has very recently has become a red state most of its history it’s been a blue democratic state remember Andrew Johnson has from Kentucky and he proceeded to completely botch reconstruction it wasn’t really unit the 1980s when Kentucky started turning red. But everyone loved Regan in the 1990s they turned back to blue now there pretty consistently red. Remember republicans freed the slaves democrats wanted to keep them enslaved. It was democrats who voted against the civil rights bill in large part republicans supported it. The history of the Democrat party is rooted in bigotry racism and murdering people of color because of there skin color. There doing the same thing now, why do you think blacks and Hispanics are switching to the republicans party

Seems like a mistake.
I get that we all want our biases about our political rivals to be confirmed, but the fact remains that Americans---by in large---are not pro-KKK or pro-White Supremacy. This includes conservatives. It is the same the other way around when talking about socialists/communists on the liberal side.
And even *IF* the GOP is secretly sympathetic to the Klan, they know they will not do very well running with KKK imagery. If they have to apologize for retracting something they supposedly believe in, that tells you that "white supremacy" holds little to no power, even amongst those on the right.
Besides, it did take me a little while to notice the Klan hoods.
by and large**
The image came from a far left group. THEY are the ones who made it. It simply showed up in a google search and got re-posted without anyone noticing.
So a far left group intentionally made the image. The re-post was by accident.
The wackos on the left continue with their accusations of racism. Not once have they proven it, or even given a valid argument for it. Yet the libs continue to believe it just because they are told to.
@Waldoe
I had a person on here talk about the most racist politician ever. It was some Republican named George Wallace. I agreed that Wallace was probably the most racist politician in the country. But when I corrected the guy that Wallace was a Democrat, he suddenly didn't have anything to say.
Its so stupidly graphic that it “seems” like a lulz. But I’m not seeing any stories about a “lefty group doing it”.
www.alreporter.com/.../
Your own link says it came from Mother Jones. That's the same thing I read at other sources.
@WindAtMyBack Yes…southern Dems in the 60s hated civil rights…leading to the Southern strategy of the Repubs. Why is this so fcking hard to understand?
Both sides are calling out to their extremest elements. So if you are going to call one side out at least have the balls to call out both. After all this country would be a hell of a lot better if people where not so blinded by their party loyalty to be honest. Mabye we can enact laws to stop things like officials on both sides engaging in insider trading using the knowledge they gain in off or retiring from office to take six figure jobs in wall street.
wow! i didn't see it at first but once you do, it's hard to deny it was intentional
It's either a dog whistle, or some non Republican taking the piss, but we all know what the Republican party is about these days. Some of them even think they can hide behind the "Party of Lincoln" line... imagine that
Who knows, but most Republicans I know think the KKK is full of feds.
They probably did not know the history behind that alternative graphic or logo. I didn't know either. I would've thought it was just a creative version of the standard logos we are all used to seeing.
It would be odd seeing as the KKK has been one of the the terrorist wing of the Democratic party for 150 years.
@OddBeMe Well they created the Klan originally, 100 years ago openly promoted the Klan as a significant political force, and spent decades electing high ranking KKK members to congress so clearly there was a great deal a tolerance and at least formerly fondness for the Klan among the Democratic party.
Today the KKK does not practically exist anymore, so I dont understand why Democrats would even mention the KKK.
@OddBeMe Where is the evidence liberals love black people? They halted and even reversed 150 years of economic and social progress in the 1960s by distorting the black family and making much of the population depended upon handouts living in drug ridden war zones.
If that is what liberals call love, may we hope it is never again cursed upon anyone.
Dems were the KKK party.
The republicans freed the slaves. Is the left EVER going playing identity politics?
It's a funny thing throughout history since after the civil war the more prevalent group of people that belong to the KKK or the Democratic party. And I don't think very many people would agree with you about the KKK and the Republican party.
you're saying the KKK is a liberal organization?
Absolutely. Take a look at your history.
I have. They hate globalism, diversity, immigration, and think whites are supreme. That sounds Repub!
Wait they’re upset there were democrats in the image?
Every one that started the klan.
Democrats certainly did.
lol, k. Fine. Then no more bullshit out of you about slavery or Jim Crowe. Gotta keep it to this century. Instead we can talk about the soft bigotry of low expectiations continually being projected by the democrat party, the fact that democrat led cities/states are worse for minorities and full of ghettos and gang violence, how Trump reduced minority unemployment to historic lows, and how if you don't vote for biden you ain't black, and how hillary has hot sauce in her purse, and how there's so little supply of hate crimes to meet demand it has to be made up.
I leave that part out because it's mostly a myth.
Wait are we now back to the last century? Keep your story straight.
That we have to stop talking about the racist past of the democrat party. We can only talk about their racism in present times.
Oh, so now we can bring up the history of the democrat party being racist. As it influences their continued racism.
I never claimed black people aren’t black if they don’t vote for biden. I don’t condescend black people and pretend I carry hot sauce. I certainly don’t think black people are too stupid to get ID to vote.
You keep pretending that “liberals” are something different. It’s hilarious.
Glad you had a good night, You’re usually in a good mood after the wife pegs you. The funniest part is it took me several times to see the “klan” hoods but you found it right away. That speaks volumes.
I doubt theyd do it on purpose... wait.. wasn't the kkk democrat?
Anyways its funny
It is a mistake and they apologized. Time to move on.
Yes, just like all Democrat apologies. If it works for Democrats, it works for Republicans
Well sometimes you have to keep going with things like a Russian Collusion investigation, that..
Yes like a server full of emails from a basement office
black people don't join into the kkk
