Well Joe Biden is a executive order joe Biden put a hold on student loans, now if you took paid your student loans or went to college without taking out loans or just didn’t go to college you are a sucker. Because now instead of paying for collage or not waiting for daddy government to pay your debt or if you just straight up didn’t go to college you are a sucker you are paying for AOC’s education or your doctors or lawyers education. So congratulations blue collar worker you get to pay for people’s college while you worked your butt off and built your business you get to pay for there college education and if you want to go to college you will be paying way way way more because Biden did this and inflation will be going through the roof

Then I did the same thing for my kids and got no help again. I took out home equity loan to pay for tuition and my wife and I drove around in old cars and deferred a lot of home improvement projects. I am still paying catchup.
Now i have to pay everyone else;s tuition.

+1 ySo roughly 35% of Americans go to college. An even smaller percent go to graduate school. Most of the college debt is held by graduate students. The rest of us will be paying for grad students. Not for 'poor kids' to go to college.
I'm still trying to figure out how this is done under an executive order and be even remotely constitutional.01 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI actually don’t mind my tax dollars paying for someone’s college education. It’s an investment in the country. I’d much rather give someone a hand up with an education than a hand out with years of public assistance, food stamps, medical, housing, etc on the public dime. Just saying.

Opinion Owner+1 yIf paying for your tuition with my tax dollars means you’ll contribute to society and won’t be a drain on public assistance, then yes. It’s a no-brainer.

I mean your really no contributing to society depending on the degree you get, if you get a degree in math science medicine or any of the stem fields sure you were contributing to society if you get a year degree in lesbian dance theory or gender studies or political science you’re really not contributing anything to society these are worthless degrees political science can get you into a lot agree but in a better system you would just go straight into learning law
Opinion Owner+1 yThere are worthless degrees but it’s still a much better overall use of taxpayer money than doling out corporate welfare or perpetuating a welfare state that never betters anyone. You’re helping individuals trying to achieve. I do support that.

So why not cancel all Credit card debt that would help all lot more people get out of debt than just canceling student loans? I get helping those is stem fields with student loan debt but not liberal arts liberal arts should have to pay every penny back to the system they borrowed from
Opinion Owner+1 yPromoting education by reducing some of the burden benefits the country as a whole. There are so many important fields understaffed right now. Credit card debt relief only benefits the individual. It’s not an accurate comparison. You conservatives don’t bat an eye when corporations are bailed out with your tax dollars or big agriculture gets subsidies to not grow crops but help out the little guy and you all pitch a fit. I honestly don’t get it. Luckily this is happening regardless of the whining.

Depends on the conservatives your talking about, if we’re talking Reagan era to about 2010 when the tea party conservatives came out then yes those squish conservatives don’t bat an eye when it comes to bailouts where talking the Mick Romney John McCain Liz and Dick Cheney conservatives (which are pretty much water down bud light liberals) after that the tea partiers actually do complain about bail out (you have a pot about the farmers but as a pot farmer my self I understand the bail out farming in hard word and we get paid less then minimum wage when everything is said and done without those subsidies farming in the United States would be completely pointless and everyone needs to eat or smoke weed 😊) that being said should be be bailing out banking FUCK NO. There is no such thing as to big to fail. There was no reason for the federal government to bail out the banks in the 2008 recession every bank that couldn’t pay back its loans should have declared bankruptcy and everyone of its investors should have gotten there money back through the bank and CEO own pockets.
Now I went to college and got a degree in liberal arts myself spout many historical facts and analyze documents from the time it was written and come to a conclusion. I worked before I went to college to get my degree I made it through without taking out any debt why because I went to a community college first and went to a good but not prestigious university known as central Washington university. Had I taken a 10,000 dollar loan along with an extra 10,000 out of pocket I would still have 10,000 left. But I worked and paid for my education and came out debt free. 75% of jobs don’t need a college degree in order to do most jobs. Hence why the college education system is a scam, The United States biggest asset is our stem fields science math medicine engineering. Even history gender studies lesbian dance theory humanities don’t need a college degree they need work experience. - +1 y
All a college education in these field tell the person who is higher you is your I. Q and you have no idea what you are doing once you get out of college. Frankly if we wanted a education system that actually made student productive members of society we would disband the liberal arts and stick with stem math and medicine rather then force a job like a secretary position which 30 years ago didn’t require a college degree now needs a college degree. Law you should be going into law school rather then fucking around with Polisci and history those subjects are fun but the college should provide a book list in these areas of study both right leaning and left leaning so that people can study and become pros and then teach at the high school level.
Once of the best pieces of advice any human should follow especially men, is you should be a monster you should have weaknesses you should know what tempts you to not be a man once you have figure this out then you can work to tamed in monster inside you, In which case you become a man (or women) if your are afraid of job interview or failures or rejection those are dragons in the your way that stops you from becoming a man and you need to face those dragons head on and take them down same with any dragon that keeps you from filling your goal to be a man (or women) this world is full of monsters men and dragons and not even a dragon can stop a real man (or women) form there goals in life
Opinion Owner+1 yThat rant is far longer than I have the time or interest in wading through but suffice it to say, we’re lucky you’re not running the country.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIn case you don’t speak dipshit, Republicans call reducing college debt for working class Americans “a bribe”, but enriching their wealthy mega-donors with tax cuts is called “a stimulus”.
05 Reply- +1 y
Republicans actually don’t have as many mega donors as the democrats, most mega donors vote republicans an donate a massive amount of money to democratic (George Soros Klaus Schwab the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Bill Gates Jeff Bezos) the richest mega donor for republicans is Elon Musk democratic hate him but want us all to by his cars 🤷♂️
Second off it is pretty much a bribe The majority of folks that vote Democrat are rich college educated white people who grew up in major cities like LA and New York so clearly you do not know what you’re talking about - +1 y
Hey dummy. did you hear about the electric car subsidy? It was announced you’d get $7500 from the government for buying one. Then the car companies raised the cost of electric cars by $8,000. Same will happen with college.
- +1 y
@Stoner710 Musk used to donate for Democrats in the past. You can't really call him "a Republican donor".

03 Reply- +1 y
Obviously the ones that took out that major student debt but still you’re a sucker because you didn’t take out that major student dad just to have it be forgived by the federal government you might as well taking the money from the federal government and made them the sucker and the taxpayers for that matter
I've never once in my entire life paid back a single student loan. This wouldn't have changed anything for me.

"Loans are run by the Fed it’s not gonna effect most taxpayers."
*Sure. They will print more money to "pay" it. diluting the dollar's worth (AKA "Inflation".
The federal government leaks taxpayer dollars like a sieve. But here is part of my problem with school loan (bad decision) forgiveness. They will get all of us in higher taxes. Why should you pay for this agenda if you are among the following people?
People who never went to college
People whose tuition was paid by the Armed Forces for service to our country
People who worked their way through college and did not incur debt
People who have already paid off their college debt
People whose parents were willing and able to pay for their college, perhaps because they chose inexpensive community colleges for their freshman and sophomore years, and in-state universities for their junior and senior years, over pricey private schools
People who placed out of a semester or even a year of college through high school advanced placement courses
People who finished their degrees in four years
People who earned degrees in fields such as nursing, engineering, and physical sciences that pay sufficiently high starting salaries to justify any debt they incurred
Get it?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yBad. Working people will probably have to pay taxes for woke hippies's student loans 🤷♂️
01 Reply- +1 y
Right I work for six years to get my degree in liberal arts which took four, I am also dyslexic which means reading is harder for me so I worked as much as your brick worker when it comes to studying and writing papers I came out debt-free because I worked before I went to college I guess people like me are the biggest sucker of them all
