I can't be alone in seeing the irony of Americans complaining about immigration on here surely? lol
Regards my country. I am not against refugees per se. Certainly not against Ukrainians. What I do hate is people coming here who still want their culture and language. If you come to a foreign country, adapt to their culture and language.
Depends on what kind of refugee you are. I was a poltical prisoner in one of my college classes. I left the group I was in and fled to another group as a refugee. It wasn't against the rules, but in the 30 years that teacher had been teaching, I was the second student that was a political prisoner and the first one that applied to another group for refugee status and got it.
Considering that the foreign policies and warmaking of the United States are the major reason that there are so many refugees in the world, it seems only fitting that we should offer them shelter if they actually make it to this country.
While the latter certainly sounds like the better option on the surface, I'm sure if the same conflicts were on our home soil we'd be looking for a place to keep our families safe
All of them? The US had it's greedy fingers in Latin America for a long time, although it started with Spain and Portugal. The Europeans randomly divided the Middle East after World War I, then established Israel dispossessing the Palestinians. Then of course there's the British in India and China and Europeans all over Africa.
I was born in the US and live in the US. I'm so amazed at the hatred American citizens have towards immigrants... since their own families immigrated here at some point in the past. Some were brought here involuntarily. Their ancestors were also called criminals, trouble makers and were labeled in every negative way possible... Now, they proudly call this "my country" and want to tell everybody else to get out...
Our own people won't do the jobs they are willing to do if they are lower skilled.. but then not all refugees are low skilled, if it weren't for Operation Paperclip WWII may have ended differently, or at least lasted years longer, and that was all about refugees.
We have over 50 000 ukrainian refugees in Estonia. (while estonian population 1,3 mil) And i dont have any problems with them. We try to help and take care those women and children how we can, while their men fight on the frontline for their country. If we need to fight for ours, then i expect them to take care of our women and children.
I'm in the U. S., but the son of immigrants... and I welcome them. I grew up in an international city (San Francisco), but have lived all over the country. Refugees have been fine by me. They're not the loudmouths at Wal Mart with 3 baby daddies, babbling about being entitled to sugar daddies, or stealing everything in sight for meth, or screaming about what they're entitled to while wearing new Jordans and bullying people they think are weaker than them.
If we still had slavery, or at least industrial revolution era lack of labor laws where I can be an asshole employer and not do jack fuck for my workers, all over the entire country I wouldn't mind them coming over, without slavery or loose labor laws there's no benefit them here for me.
Our economy would've gone to shit without em. Without immigrants... America would not exist... We would not even be here. We are not a self-sustaining country... Certainly not now that you have a cult willing to put on a suicide vest and march into a nuclear reactor to "own the libs"... Brainless idiots
Many Ukrainians fled into Spain. I’ve met many of them. They’re very nice people! I wish Noura came to Tenerife instead of Jordan from Syria as a refugee.

yes, America is to blame for a lot of things
While the latter certainly sounds like the better option on the surface, I'm sure if the same conflicts were on our home soil we'd be looking for a place to keep our families safe
yes, I can find a safe place for my family. But I will stay by myself, I will fight honorably
In some way the western nations are partially responsible for a lot of it.
which western country, for example:)

You're so right... Many of them are purely political

I think that maybe they should be trained to help themselves to work or to do some community service to help the community grow.
yes, education is required
But first you need to prevent them from coming, right
They should stay in their own country and if not there the closest one geographically where things are relatively safe.
why nearby countries? i don't want a refugee from a country near me
I believe that studies show them to be an asset
of course, they are people, but our own people?
Our own people won't do the jobs they are willing to do if they are lower skilled.. but then not all refugees are low skilled, if it weren't for Operation Paperclip WWII may have ended differently, or at least lasted years longer, and that was all about refugees.
okay i understand.
If I lived in such a bad place I’d go After the bad people.
It’s easier to Go After bad people when there no police officers to worry about.
You have to decide for yourself the right and wrong
It wouldn’t be Wrong To Hurt killers and Rapist.
Those Types deserve To be Hurt.
You are not the decision maker. It's up to you to judge no one. If there is a state, this should be decided by the state. Or there will be chaos

A lot of refugees are economic refugees. What I don't accept is self selecting refugees or queue jumpers.
Burden, liabilities, changing what my country is

Yh they jumped outvof the pot into the fire it sucjs here but if they can survive i see no problem.
We'll just keep bussing them to New York, DC, Delaware, and Massachusetts...
Check this shit out. We sent them 100 and they're acting like cry babies. We have 772,000 of them in Florida.

What a bunch of pussies.
Massachusetts should at least be able to take 200,000 off our hands based on their state size.
