Was it wrong of me to make a big deal about my son's schools "mock election"?

I brought this to the news center. That's what I mean when I say I made a big deal out of it. So my son is in 6th grade and they just had their mock election this past week. I signed the paper for it stating he could be a part of it but I didn't realize how fucking biased and ignorant it was going to be. Our mock elections when I was in school were using fake people and we had to listen to fake scenarios and go based off that. My son's mock election consisted of their two choices being Biden and Trump. It was all recorded and we got the link for it this morning so us parents could watch it. I was fucking appalled.

So as I said, they were basically going for a "Team Trump, Team Biden" divide. These were their only two choices (outside of LePage or Mills for Govenor- we are in Maine). Now, I won't say who my son chose but when I fucking tell you that a teacher went up one side of him and down the other for his choice (not just him, several other students as well), it would be an understatement. Saying "X supporters are the most uneducated group of individuals and it's your parents fault, not yours. Make better choices." Bringing up news articles and then telling the other students "Don't be like them. Make the better choice. Do better because your future depends on it."

I fucking lost it. I called the superintendent. I called the teachers. No one would speak to me about it. So I went directly to the news. It wasn't just me but I've been called the ring leader (because I had spoken to other parents about it). See, my husband seems to think I've taken it too far and that I'm being a Karen. Am I? Like please tell me because I'm honestly so pissed off that I might not even be thinking clearly.
