Discuss: Collective punishment as a deterrent. Should collective punishment be imposed for heinous crimes (eg. Murder, rape, terrorism, treason etc.)
Rationale: Some people posit that three generations of hard labour and imprisonment is a strong deterrent. Criminals are more likely to think of their families before committing a heinous crime.
Eg. The family members of suicide bombers who die during the act of terrorism will have to serve life-imprisonment in their place. Will this be a basis for potential criminals to rethink their action?

Fuck no I just got done asking a question about that. Just like I don’t think a CEO should be apologizing on behalf of a low level worker doing something either racist or sexist or stupid I don’t think that a collective should be punished for an individual action if we did that then all Black people would be in jail if we did that all Mexicans would be in jail same with white people same with Asians the collective is stupid we are not a hive mind we are individuals therefore we should not punish those who are collectively black or collectively white or collectively Hispanic region Hispanic or Asian and we should not be apologizing on behalf of an entire company because of one individuals actions if you have 20,000 workers one of those are bound to be racist doesn’t mean the CEO have to come out and apologize. If a company has 20,000 workers you’re bound to have somebody who is racist therefore if that person does a racist action or affect his action or punches some guy in the face regardless of his racist or sexist and it just a guy who pissed them off the CEO of the company should not be legally allowed to apologize for that person nor should the entire company or anyone who works for that company should be going to prison for something racist if it Starbucks worker who is white assault a customer the CEO should not legally be allowed to apologize and everyone who works for Starbucks should not be going to prison as a collective in the entire white race should not be going to prison because one white person did something terrible this is the idea of a collective you blame the entire collective for something one person did so no
Absolutely not. People are responsible for their own actions, not the actions of others. This "collectivist" nonsense is what gives us every form of bigotry. It belongs in the dumpster.
