In the United States, we are shamed by other Americans for loving our country. We are shamed around the world. People say we are the most racist country in the world due to slavery of black people and the George Floyd situation.
I actually love America. Ever since I was a kid, I was always proud and happy to have been born here. Whenever I go out in public and see a girl with an American hat or t shirt, it always warms up my heart for some reason because it’s rare nowadays especially among women. A lot of them hate our country.
Do you get happy whenever you see a girl that is proud of America?

I ask because I didn't say anything about no one on the right being wacky and I don't understand why you felt the need to make that comment. @msc545 the guy with the horns got 3 years... For trespassing. People got nothing for burning a police car. This was an abuse of power plain and simple. There were dozens of people who were stuck in prison for over a year without even being charges with a crime.
I’m happy when I see any person displaying our colors. I served 10 years in the military, been to many places. Don’t be ashamed for loving your country. Most people who run their mouth have never been anywhere in their life so they talk only about what they see here in the states. Now if you’ve been to places like Africa, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan as well as a lot of other places like me you realize that while we may have issues here in the states they’re no where near what goes on in other countries. Especially for women. Too many Western women complain that they’re oppressed, but fail to realize women still get stoned to death in other countries for cheating even though it’s ok for their spouse to cheat. I get that a lot of foreigners say they hate America but there’s still thousands of illegal immigrants trying to get in every year. Be proud. Think for yourself, don’t be ashamed to be proud. It’s always easy to go w the flow, it’s harder to go against it but at least you’re thinking for yourself.
Quite the opposite actually. I'm a Conservative myself, but I think blind Patriotism/Nationalism is stupid. There are things to be proud of course, like our sites, geography and music, but I think our society, military and government are nothing to be proud of. I think it's stupid when Americans say we're the greatest country on earth. We have the lowest standard of living of any other developed country. But what's most irritating, is when they generalize other nations as "shitholes", but throw a hissy fit when someone does the same to their beloved America.
That being said, I don't like people who criticize every aspect of our country, and I don't like people who have a strong hatred for American people. However, I have more respect for people both foreign and locals who are critical of some of our policies, issues and the way our country is managed. Where I draw the line however is foreigners who criticize America, but won't criticize themselves, despite their countries also having problems. If you're gonna criticize, you should either come from a respectable country or criticize your country too. You can also criticize without being blatantly insulting. But it's pretty easy to tell when someone has pure hatred in their heart.
But no, I don't support people who are blindly patriotic, that includes women. Like I said, I'm a conservative myself, but I could never date someone who flaunts their national pride.
Patriotism is the essence of stupidity it drives from primal tribal senses. Which is great naturally but people are aiming to be more advance not revert to that shit. So anyone who is proud of their country like this is a red-flag right away to me, because I highly suspect there intellect won't be all there, or they are owning for other reasons like when leaders pro-claim to love their country just become a dictator.
There is a lot more that could be said about patriotism to prove it's bullshit on a whole but I digress as those who believe in it can't see the errors with it anyway.
America is a very racist country, that is just the facts, and for just one of the reasons you mentioned. The unfortunate reality in my experience, is that too many people that claim to love America, often choose to be ignorant of all the obstacles other groups of people face in this country. If you love the country, there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, as a Veteran, I respect it as long as you're not one of the people that use patriotism to dress up their bigotry. That in and of itself is actually what's made it so that patriotism is less common today. Not George Floyd, not slavery, but willfull ignorance. That being said, assuming you aren't one of the people aforementioned, I enjoy seeing genuine patriotism too.
I don’t like nationalism personally. People who are nationalists are of a different philosophical mindset than me. Pride is not usually a virtue, and if you’re a Christian it’s considered a sin. I do love living in the US even with its problems. It’s an incredible place full of opportunities that many people don’t have access to. But its past is too riddled with atrocities to even consider being proud of it. On top of that our current trajectory is not one to be proud of either. So to your question, if I see a girl who’s proud of the US I’m usually going to be polite and not talk about it.

I once had sex with a French exchange student on July 4th, between the parade and the fireworks. She had the Tricolor painted on one cheek and the Stars and Stripes on the other and had her hair tied back with red, white and blue tinsel. I can still picture her going down on me looking all patriotic. :)
My family wears plenty of American flag monogrammed stuff (hats, shirts, pants, swimsuits, undies, backpacks). We’re just not about to rock confederate flag shit
@exitseven yea we don’t do all that. We have no problem saying the pledge of allegiance, national anthem, etc. But we dont just have flags hanging on houses/trucks and stuff. I live in MS so im used to seeing more confed flags than American tbh and thats a bit annoying. But Like I said we just wear the monogrammed clothes cause we like it
@KostasKouvalis Yes, there are natural wonders (ex. Grand Canyon). The music? Maybe. I don't know about the customer service though, and I think that the practice of "tipping" needs to be seriously discouraged, and service workers given a much higher minimum wage so that they don't need to rely upon them so much.
I agree with you on the tipping and in general. What is there to be proud of? These homelesses? These mass shooters? These transgenders? These self hating White teachers? These entitled soldiers? These corrupt government agencies and businesses? You tell me.

It wouldn't be so bad if all that garbage stayed within the borders of the United States. And the shootings! Er... don't the gun-nuts understand the very basic point that even though gun control won't eliminate all gun-related deaths, it will certainly reduce them? Don't they understand the basic point that a man (it's always a man) with a gun can kill far more people in a shorter amount of time than someone with just their bare hands, or even a knife?
European countries used to be very nationalistic and took great pride in doing their own thing, now they just mimic American culture, and not the good aspects of it.
While you may be right the issue with the whole gun control is, Australia, New Zealand and the U. K. are islands. It would be pretty difficult to smuggle guns there. The US on the other hand has Mexico right next door. Bad guys who want guns could still get them. At the same time you have Switzerland where everyone is required to own a gun and there's almost no gun violence despite all the mental health problems. Maybe it's intimidation maybe it's culture. But I heard a Samoan gangster say, "On the islands, we solve our problems with our fists. These gangsters over here in the States, they don't wanna fist fight, they just wanna shoot you, so we had to get guns too." So it has to do with culture. American people feel they need to shoot people to be feared and respected.

Definitely. It shows that she's not indoctrinated with false ideologies and has an intelligent mind. The United States might not be the best, but it's definitely above average. I am grateful that my family was able to migrate here (Legally).

Whenever I see a person wearing some American flag clothing, I feel sad that another person is delusional. There is nothing American to be proud of. I am ashamed to tell anyone I am an American when I travel.
I just dont think that deep into it. I rock different sports jerseys because i like the colors. I hardly know the teams. I love the pattern of the American flag. I’d easily wear stuff with the london or puerto rican flag and other countries i wouldn't dare visit. Makes me no difference if i find the design cute

America was great before Trump came into play, politics, COVID and BLM all started off like fire. Trump didn’t help build on but destroyed it, now the country has a zig zag in the middle.
