Why can't republicans just accept the fact that most americans prefer to be progressive than be instead of launching fake culture wars they will lose?

Why is it so hard for them to accept the fact that the majority opinion on progressivism matters than conservative rural areas having a say in the government.

That’s what is causing them to panic. They have become aware that they are indeed a minority. The Republican candidate for president has won the popular vote just once since 1988. When they control Congress, they typically represent a minority of the country because of the way the districting is skewed. The baby boomers are dying off and younger more progressive voters are going to have more weight at the ballot box. They see the handwriting on the wall. It’s why they’re casting doubt on the legitimacy of the democratic process and trying to legitimize violence as a means of achieving power. It’s why they’ve embraced nationalism and oppose the immigration of non-white people who tend to vote democrat. Read up on the tenets of fascism and then look at conservative movement today. There are many eerie parallels. In the past, political parties altered their platforms to appeal to a wider range of voters. Todays republicans are too radicalized to do that and are becoming a threat to the nation at large.

I dont think this is the case. Most people are neither Conservative or progressive but somewhere in the middle and may be progressive in some areas but Conservative in others. I mean Hispanics may be more pro ilegal immigration but anti-abortion.

Pretty much the entire political history of USA is the conservatives (whatever name or party they are in at the time) continuously losing and fighting tooth and nail to slow down the progress of the country. Be it civil war or attempted violent overthrow of the government, it is all the same as its a reaction to them losing and becoming ever more desperate.

How many generations of Americans has refused to accept this fact and try maintain their conservative ideologies? They will not stop.. and the rest of the world will continue to laugh at USA because of this because its absurd from a 3rd person perspective.

I'm saying this as a hardcore leftist, i think majority slowly gravitate towards leftist ideas because it's the path of least resistance, least militant at least.

With the right pushing every ounce of power they have to hate trans rights they would have bounties on trans scalps and ears. They actively want to kill people.

While the left will endlessly laugh and mock a person. Punch a nazi is common, killing very rare.
