The 12-gauge slug gun is by far one of the most popular choices for bear protection in the Alaskan bush. Let’s face it; this is all about disarming the citizenry. The AR-15 is just a start.

You got this right, it is a process to getting the citizens disarmed. Then we go from citizen to subjects.
They just want to take away your guns so criminals can rob, rape, and kill defenseless people.
🤷♂️
I don't understand why people can't see what you just said. The district attorneys seem to love criminals. A POS criminal just got out of prison, and within 24 hours he stabbed Rand Paul's assistant in the head and chest.
Now he'll probably get a slap on the wrist and be able to do it many more times.
This is what I tell every Liberal on here, especial OddBeMe, who is suspect to be either a burglar or home invading would be rapist for his never ending series of posts about banning guns.
No. You just want to disarm women, the elderly, and disabled people so they can be robbed, raped, and killed. Period.
Yes, I'm sure there are numerous individuals within the Biden administration who know the definition of 'assault rifle', as well as how to physically identify one if they came across it.
I mean, it's the primary gun we keep seeing flashed on the news every week or so, when another, wait for it, mass shooting occurs at a school or business. And yet... "gun rights" activists (who routinely and without exception, misconstrue the meaning of the Second Amendment so much that it's a wonder if they can even read or comprehend anything) are so quick to say meaningless and honestly hurtful 'thoughts and prayers' while simultaneously allowing more guns into their homes, into their children's hands, and then subsequently leading to the murder of still more people.
So go off on the Biden administration - maybe you'll feel accomplished in some weird way? And I'm guessing you have, how many assault rifles of your own for, what's that ridiculous excuse, "protection"? Because seriously, guns-rights activists honestly believe they need to have assault rifles in their homes? The Second Amendment is an outdated document written in the 1700s. The rifles and technology used to kill in this era are beyond even the wildest imaginations of most people who lived at that time. So to word-for-word quote that as if it's ingrained into the very core of the planet is totally ridiculous.
I hope, eventually, there is a day in which the 'precious' and totally unnecessary assault rifles, ghost guns, and modifications provided to make guns even deadlier, are removed from public access, permanently.
By the way, if I'm going to break into your home, and you're going to 'defend' yourself by using an assault rifle, seriously, good luck! You're more likely to hurt yourself or shoot a family member than to even be remotely successful doing pretty much anything other than shooting mindlessly into a general area. And I don't care if you're (ex) military, or you've been shooting since before you could walk, or any of those stupid excuses. You don't need those weapons, so find a fight that's worth fighting, like ending poverty and homelessness in whichever metro you're nearest.
Best-
Obviously the writer of this didn't know what an assault rifle is either.
"it's the primary gun we keep seeing flashed on the news every week or so"
Wrong. The stuff they keep flashing on the news aren't assault rifles.
From https://www.bradyunited.org/fact-sheets/what-are-assault-weapons-and-high-capacity-magazines
An “assault weapon” refers to a semi-automatic gun designed for military use and quick, efficient killing. Assault weapons are uniquely lethal because of their rapid rate of fire and high muzzle velocity — coupled with large-capacity magazines, which attach to an assault weapon to allow dozens of gunshots without needing to reload. A large-capacity magazine is typically defined as any magazine or drum that is capable of holding more than either 10 or 15 rounds of ammunition.

I've got an open mind on this and am not an anti-gun nut or a gun nut. My stepson owns an AR-15 and, where I live hunting, is a way of life.
So, let's take a look at an AR-15:
Rate of Fire: 45 rounds/min; with a bump stock, in the hundreds of rounds/min
Seems pretty rapid to me.
Muzzle Velocity: 3300 ft/s or about 1 km/s. That's about 3x the speed of sound.
Average Rifle Muzzle Velocity: about 1200 ft/s; slightly faster than sound.
Yeah, an AR-15 has a high muzzle velocity.
Magazine Capacity: Between 20 and 50.
So, it seems to me that the AR-15 satisfies the criteria for an "assault weapon".
However, really, the Federal Government defined the AR-15 as a "semiautomatic assault weapon" in the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. See "Colt AR-15" in the text below:

Ok, my gun tisms got triggered, but I'm not gonna go there.
Anyway, what did you expect from Biden's administration? The man is literally obsessed with ice-cream and children.
Its a play on wording. Everything is purposeful. Using the word assault style weapon is a way to further the narrative. They know what they’re doing
Maybe, but they distort it to push their totalitarian agenda of stripping the right of self-defense from the people so that we'll be as helpless as any disarmed populace is under a heavily armed tyrant.
A 2 minute Google search will tell you that they are lying about the definition of an assault rifle.
But they are relying on the fact that most people are too lazy or too stupid to do a Google search.
They want to abolish prisons, and take away protection from the law-abiding citizens. I don't understand how people can't see this.
Don't be silly- it's just, or even primarily, about disarming the citizenry; it's about raising alarmism and keeping the population in a permanent state of borderline panic, so they'll be grateful for the government that saves them from half-imaginary problems, and doesn't ask questions about Democratic corruption and scandal. Disarming the people is just a bonus.
I’ve asked this question before and no they don’t. Muskets were once assault weapons too. What’s amazing is when a conservative doesn’t like guns he doesn’t buy one but when a liberal doesn’t like guns he wants to ban them from everyone
They do know. They don't care. They lie to your face anyway.
Half the country is already too stupid.. they just need a small % more to believe it.
Any weapon used against another human, becomes an assault weapon.
Though a bat can be used to harm a human, they are made to hit balls. And it would be difficult to to do mass damage against several humans with just one person and a bat.
However a semiautomatic rifle can do a great deal of harm in the the hands of the wrong person. Firearms were invented to kill.
Big difference between a bat and a firearm.
I think that it's because of language confusion.
For similar reasons the other ''side'' claims that social intolerance is ''freedom''?
Heh heh. How good - then - to not ''take sides'' and thinking for yourself/oneself. Agreed.
