How do you feel about Finland joining NATO?

Here are 5 reasons why its good:

• It would deter Russia from aggression. NATO is a powerful military alliance, and Finland's membership would make it much more difficult for Russia to attack Finland.
• It would strengthen NATO's collective defense. Finland is a strong military power, and its membership would make NATO's collective defense even stronger.
• It would increase stability in Europe. Finland's membership in NATO would help to increase stability in Europe. Russia's aggression in Ukraine has destabilized the region, and Finland's membership would help to counter that trend.
• It would send a strong signal to Russia. Finland's membership in NATO would send a strong signal to Russia that NATO is united and determined to defend its members.
• It would be in line with Finland's own security interests. Finland has long pursued a policy of neutrality, but the Russian invasion of Ukraine has changed the security landscape in Europe. Finland now believes that NATO membership is the best way to ensure its security.

Here are 5 reasons why its bad:

• It would increase the risk of war. Because of Article 5 this would increase the risk of war in Europe.
• The United States does not need Finland to join NATO. It does not need Finland to join NATO in order to deter Russia from aggression, so the benefits aren't actually that purposeful.
• It would damage relations with Russia. Finland's membership in NATO would be seen as a hostile act on Russia.
• It would be expensive. Finland would have to pay to be a member of NATO. This would be a financial burden for Finland.
• It would limit Finland's sovereignty. As a member of NATO, Finland would have to agree to follow NATO's decisions.

The threat of Ukraine joining NATO played a huge role in pushing Putin to declare war on them; the idea that pushing the country with the world's largest nuclear arsenal to have its back to the wall being a "good idea" is utterly incomprehensible.

This is pushing us towards a third World War; unless you're going to invite in Russia and try to recreate the League of Nations (again), this is just going to make things worse.

It’s a good move for Finland’s security obviously. They don’t want to be the next Ukraine. It’s also good for the US. Because of our importance to the alliance, expansion of NATO expands our influence.

Based on what evidence? Since this guideline was created in 2014, almost all NATO partners have gradually increased spending and are at higher levels today.
