Does your decision get influenced if you knew what the outcome is?

Example:

If there's a poll that most women are materialistic and only care about money. You disagree, but the poll shows that the majority agree with the statement. Does this make you hesitant to voice your opinion against it or even rethink why most people (men as well as women) agree?

(This was just an example 🙂 please don't hold it against me)
