I also have Indian friends - plenty of Indians in California. But they will readily admit that racism is common in India, especially among the lower caste (much less so among the middle class), and just like in the US, the lower class tends to be far more violent, commit more crimes, and be more extreme in their views.
This is why, for example, the US is SUPPOSED to allow only LEGAL immigration, so that immigrants are VETTED, and those with criminal backgrounds are not allowed. The problem with allowing unchecked immigration - as the US and Europe have been doing for the last 20 years - is that you inevitably allow in a large group of criminals - people who never could have gotten in legally.
It's not a matter of race - as I said, there are lower-class white people in the US who are a big part of the criminal class - it's a matter of importing criminals - of NOT vetting each and every immigrant. Politicians are trying to import votes so that they can maintain their power, and they literally do not care one bit that their own citizens will suffer for it - maintaining power is the only thing that matters to them.
I'm all for LEGAL immigration, but if you throw open your border gates and let anyone and everyone stream through, you're going to have a huge criminal problem. And many European countries have done exactly that, and are suffering for it - just like the US.
