Seems backward to me, but I’m a minority on this site: liberal a-hole.
What about those who used savings (that took many years to save up) or worked before and/or all through college to fund it? Will they be paid back what they paid or just watch while all those who borrowed will have their debt forgiven? Say Hannah’s parents started a college fund for her when she was born and every month they put money into it, and that’s what Hannah used to pay her tuition with. She’ll get nothing? Then we have Josh who’s parents couldn’t afford to save for his college so he took a couple of years after high school and worked deadend jobs and saved everything he could for college. While in college he continued to work to make ends meet. He’ll get nothing. Then we’ve got Ava who didn’t have a college fund either but didn’t want to work to save up money so she borrowed money instead disregardig the interest rate and paid her way through school that way while partying and having fun, even went out of state to get the full experience not caring that it would increase her loans. She gets her loans forgiven? Nah. It’s not fair. If there’s gonna be loan forgiveness then there’s gonna be cash handouts for those who paid with their own money too.

It's simply because 80% of those students will work dead end jobs and live only to pay off those loans. the government, banks and corporations make money servicing those loans.
Whereas banks and corporations will give executive positions to those politicians and civil servants that gave them bailouts. It's where they go, when they leave office.
That's the beauty of democracy. It's nearly entirely funded by exploiting someone else, so you can live better. But giving enough lip service so that person thinks you're doing them a favour,
Yes, but remember that corporations and billionaires run this shitty country, and they get everything they want.

When Obama bailed out the banks that were "too big to fail" he started a bad precedent. A true free market economy has winners and losers. Recently the current administration have started bailing out banks that have made bad investments. This is nother bad precedent and gives the appearance of the government showing favoritism towards banks that have donated to democrats.
Neither are ok from the Federal Goverment under the Federal Constitution.
However from an institutional point of view the bailouts authorized by congress are better in that at least the legislator approved it, not one guy.
Don’t take out that if you’re not going to pay it back. Also, we shouldn’t be bailing out companies anyway we should not be bailing out banks there’s no such thing as too big to fail.
No organisation is more skilled at brainwashing than Corporate America. And you believe yourselves to be free.
