I think its literally illegal. These are leftist policies in action. Its sad. But its true. They are literally saying "white people need not apply." Racism is racism regardless of skin color.
I thought most jobs have to have a certain amount of minority workers to not look bad. They’ve probably filled their other roles with someone white and now need to meet whatever little minority they need. I forgot the word for it but it happens with a lot of businesses here where they have to have a token poc to not look bad. As for Best Buy, our store looks quite diverse in terms of workers 🤷♀️

These companies keep outing themselves so I know where not to shop.

I had planned to get a new stereo installed in my Explorer this weekend, and Best Buy would have been my first stop. . . but not now! Vote with your wallet!

Back in 2012 this kinda thing might have made a little sense but there are plenty of minorities in all types of positions now. Although I think it's worth looking into what kind of diversity these locations have.
Where I live, I know some people who are even 2nd generation and try to find businesses where there's some amount of diversity. If you moved to another country, wouldn't you look for other foreigners or Americans too?
Still, hard for me to believe there was a need great enough to call this reasonably acceptable.
Sometimes I wonder if this is the left's way to take down capitalism. Make these companies so blatantly discrimatory that the people who support capitalism will tear it down.
I wonder if they will get what they want this way, I hope not. I hope people will open new places that fight against these stupid DIE (Diversity Inclusion and Equity) policies. We have seen things like Rumble fight to replace YouTube so we have something going on here. Let's hope it's strong enough.
🙃🫠 I'm sure this will be forgotten... if they apologize but bruh... this cannot end well for them. They've been around since I was a kid, so this is gonna sting for some folks.
Well, you can bet your butt they are going to get the shit sued out of them for this kind of discrimination, if that statement is, in fact, true!
They are not the only company to get caught doing this. With all the boycotts that have effected Budweiser, Disney etc you would think these companies would smarten up.
Wait there's still a Best Buy? Haha. The 90s called, they want their overpriced failed concepts back. Circuit City and CompUsa are lonely...
Its starting to hit the news. Their facebook page has some comments as well. I think Best Buy is in for a rough time. I know I can buy elsewhere.
Well, that's ultimately up to the to the powers that be. If taken to court, the court may side with the business. Just because something is against the law, doesn't mean in actuality that it's going to be enforced.
In addition, even though it says you must identify as one of those groups, they can use the excuse that they don't exclude people from filling an application. There are plenty of loopholes that a business can exploit.

It is normal. Companies do this to ensure they have employers from all kinds of people to eliminate discrimination. Their population probably consists of so many white people they felt the need to hire people of color to create a more equal work environment. It is not racist.
Pretty sure the courts will make them drop this, as it violates EOE.
They were already irrelevant, now this will put that last nail in the coffin.
Unreal. How much more blatantly racist and unlawful can they be.
It says that it's a leadership diversity program, not white excluded manager positions
Well it's not on their site now, and their "Equal Opportunity Statement" says, "Best Buy will not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, creed, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, alienage (alienage?) or citizenship, disability, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other legally protected basis under federal, state, or local laws, regulations or ordinances."
