Let's say someone makes a racist comment and then gets called a racist for it, instead of condemning the bigoted comment the person made. You have other closet bigots coming to the bigots defense and says something like this "maybe the person you are calling a racist, isn't a racist" yes they are or they would not have made a bigoted and racist comment and joke in the first place. Why is calling someone on their prejudice such a bad thing?
Why do other people defend those who say or make a racist comment? Why is it wrong to call someone on their prejudice as a racist out loud in public?

It isn't wrong. But you will often find puss gatheres in boils. These people will try and spread their dirty ways in the hope of gathering others to them.
Because ignorance is a virus that can only be solved with reason.
