What do you think the chances are of terrorist success?

This was one of my fears... terrorists blow up tunnels in NYC. I couldn't imagine how awful that be being trapped in a car when a tunnel is blown. They are making such threats and honestly... the complexity of pulling that off... seems very easy. It only requires the will to do so.

I lived through the IRA terrorist attacks mainland UK. It'd actually be difficult for them to pull it off. It's easier for a lone individual - think Unabomber - to pull off something like that then for an organisation to because an individual doesn't have to communicate about it.

Example: in my garden shed right now if I were so inclined I have the ingredients I'd need to make a fairly simple explosive. Most people do. Fertiliser bombs. Nitrate, charcoal and sulphur/sulphate. You just gotta get the ratios and boom.

I'm not so inclined, by the way, but my son is hassling me to make him something to go bang. He's 5 so nobody panic.

The thing is, if I can get it, someone else with nefarious intent can. When was the last mass shooting in America where the gunman used illegal firearms? I don't remember one ever.

Individuals are always more likely to get through than organisations. Always.

exactly! We had a bombing that took down FBI building. set off on a bridge or tunnel or anywhere be easy.

If you remember, there were 2 attacks on the World Trade Center. A truck bomb in the basement that did not real harm, and they finished it with the plane attack. Even today a lot of people say it was an inside job so that we had an excuse to get rid of Bin Laden. Just like they used weapons of mass destruction to take out Sadam. Can we really trust any of our government?

The chances are extremely high. Look at what is happening at our southern border. And look at the countries that these people are coming from.

With Biden letting everyone and anyone into the US unimpeded, there is a good chance there are a lot of terrorists coming in, along with the cartel, drug smugglers, and your every day rapists, sex traffickers, and petty criminals. We could possibly be in for another 9/11.

I think terror threats are always scary but chances are rather low. Think about recent statistics in USA now. There has been more violence and terrorist acts committed by young men of American origin than those terrorist acts perpetrated by fascist groups.

Success in what way? Remove or frighten a Western government into them changing their policies or military operations or something? Then it's practically zero. All these attacks only created more resolve.

I think a terrorist threat is low, but still exists. Just report anything you think is not right to your local law enforcements
