Strange thing that could never happen, but it did. What do you think?

A Canadian couple crosses the border into a small American town. They go to a Denny's restaurant, and proceed to get snockered. They run out of money, so the couple WALKS to an ATM to get more money. The local police arrest them for drunk driving. lol

(this is what scares me about small town police) (and I'm not one of the defund the cops, nut-cases)

This really happened, and I talked to them. They asked the cops how drunk walking was the same as drunk driving! The cops told them that they knew they would soon be driving.

The cops may have been right about that, but that was just a guess on their part.

What brought this to mind, was seeing a clip of one of the whack-jobs from the Davos summit in Switzerland. She wanted to find a way to read our minds. (the new world order people meet in Davos, get snockered, and then want to read YOUR mind.)

Anyway, the couple obviously got the crime thrown out in court, but their life savings also got thrown out the window.

If they can throw us behind bars for what we're thinking, who will be left to plow the fields and pick the strawberries? :)

Sometimes it just doesn’t seem to make sense. When people are smart enough not to drive, even though they are legally drunk. They can get arrested just by being in their car and sleeping it off. As long as the keys are within your reach.
Back in my younger drinking days. Some of the police would tell you to lock up the car and they would take you home! Not anymore!
As for your example. Public drunkenness, yes! DUI, no!

It didn't stick in court, but they paid a ton to get off. Imagine getting pulled over while walking with your wife. It was about a future crime, not a present crime.

Drunk walking is not a crime or else I would have been locked up a long time ago. I have heard instances when people decided they were too drunk to drive so they pull over and sleep it off and the cops arrest them anyway

Thats an utterly horrendous story , they sort of have that in Australia " intent to drive " thats keys within the car , so if sleeping in your car intoxicated , you need to get the keys out of the car.. pretty stupid , walking? Thats a joke..
