I have Googled and cannot find those question. Nevertheless, for more then 35 years, mainstream media have been repeating her claim that 25 percent are raped or sexually assaulted. If that was factual, college girls would be to afraid to dress in tight miniskirts, go to fraternities parties and get drunk.

I hear it came from the BJS but I think that stat is misleading because the BJS often includes rape threats in its definition of rape and even that is a little subjective.

RAINN has also peddled the 1 in 4 argument but they at least had the self awareness to write a letter to white house explaining how destructive "rape culture" narrative is.

I am not a fan of Koss because in an interview she says that rape is specifically a women's only issue because, even though she admits that men can be raped, she believes that male rape is too statistically insignificant for the victims to be worth helping even though it is not true if you include made to penetrate according to the CDC. When you do include that then the number of male victims of MTP are nearly as common as female rape victims and that does not include the males who have been penetrated.

I also hear she is the very reason why "made to penetrate" is not in any country's definition of rape to make women look like the primary victims, which as I stated isn't true. Thanks to this wording, a woman can take advantage of a man who is passed out drunk and the law wouldn't consider that rape, even if she get pregnant while doing so and she can even sue her victim of child support thanks to Hermessmann v Seyer.

That report was the beginning of the downward slide that ultimately resulted in exactly the opposite effect the feminist authors wanted. It turned the national rape conversation into a complete joke, caused people to doubt the stories of women who claim to have been raped, and cheapened the experience of actual victims of actual rape.

I commented that just one rape per country on a college campus is too many.

I've been involved in counselling survivors of rape and sexual assault - women, men and children - on and off for over 30 years. Three of my dearest friends are either survivors themselves or parent to a child who was raped.

I don't know what questions were used. I just know one rape is two too many.

I know over 50% of rapes are not reported. Especially in the USA where if the victim of a crime is alive they can decline to press charges and the police can't act without their cooperation.

So can you tell me what an acceptable number of rapes on college campuses is per annum?

When you have a society that is taught that all men rape or commit sexual assault, the result is men are expelled from college and juries send men to prison over false rape charges. Therefore, explain why you think lies and gross exaggerations are better than the truth. Apparently, according to you, it is okay if 100 college men are expelled from college and/or sent to prison over false rape charges if it saves one girl from being raped.

I haven't said anything about false allegations. Zero.

Any extreme is a negative thing.

Since you've brought it up, I believe if an accusation is proven false then the penalty should be the same as the penalty for the accused crime. So the penalty for rape is 15 years and registration as a sex offender for life. That accusation has the same impact on the man's life that a rape can have on the survivor. It's as much a violation of his character as the physical violence of rape is for her. The false accusation is a sex crime if the accusation is a rape took place, so the same punishment is justified.

I'm sick of hearing that I have to teach my 5 year old son not to be a rapist, but it's ok for the girl's parents to teach her that wearing literally nothing at all and being sexually promiscuous is acceptable because it's not her that's at fault.

Yes, the crime of rape actually is about power, not sex, in the vast majority of violent cases.

The problem arises when "buyer's remorse" hits next morning and she "withdraws" consent two or three days after she slept with him because he isn't cute when she's sober or he didn't call. So she decides she couldn't have given informed consent so it must have been rape.

Is it ok for her to do that because she had a few drinks and found out the guy she thought was Mel Gibson in 1987 was actually a student like her? Of course it isn't. Yet we're seeing cases where the issue of consent granted 20 years ago is being reversed in hindsight.

Both extremes are unacceptable. And where judges are deciding 20 years or more later over choices made where both parties had been drinking and/or taken illicit and illegal substances that consent was impossible then why isn't intent equally impossible?

Perjury in the shape of the accusation should carry equal punishment if proven false. Not found "not guilty" - that's very different. But a false alleged crime can destroy his life faster and more permanently than people realise.
