You don't even have to explain! A simple yes, no, or unsure response will be fine!
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThere is no provision in the U. S. Constitution to cancel elections nor any one authority to do so.
As there are no "national election" in theses united States only 50+ state elections including expressly presidential elections as well which are simply held by the state to decide how to cast their electors.
Congress could at best move the date when said electors are counted which is the only really national election there is.
This would be very controversial which is why it would be very difficult to enforce with many states refusing to go along putting the federal goverment in a difficult position with many states having already decided how to vote and them not honoring it.30 Reply

+1 yOf course we'll have a Presidential election. Even in Illinois, a state whose Supreme Court crowned its governor Emperor, had an election, and he would have been entirely within his rights to suspend it.
If a state so mired in corruption that it not only passed the Corwin amendment, but did so by special convention, bypassing the legislative process, can demonstrate some tiny level of respect for the rule of law, then DC will do the same.

That's two questions in one! Which do I answer yes or no to, "Will the US have a 2024 presidential election?" or "Will it be cancelled due to an emergency situation?"

all the yes is: will have elected , all no is: not canceled creating a concensus!
27.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I keep wondering what the Democrats are going to use for a smokescreen this time. Nobody would fall for it if they just had another epidemic. They thought that at least one indictment might stick but it looks like all the cases are falling apart.
I was afraid that they might stage a major disaster on election day since there are thousands or terrorist cells that have come in through the southern border they could blame it on them.. I think the American public is anxious to get Biden out of office and Trump back in.
If the election is stolen again I imagine there will be over a million protesters in DC on inauguration day. They might not stop at a few broken windows this time.13 Reply- +1 y
What smokescreen? Leftists only approves a level of showmanship. Hence John Oliver open bribe to the supreme court.

Fucking hell I love this move. truth is stranger than fiction. This is truly going on right now. Yet you people are on another world. - +1 y
@NaultD Thanks for posting that, I've been meaning to watch it.
Because there are no binding ethics rules on the supreme court, the offer appears to be completely legal!
Just two weeks more for him to take up the offer.
@exitseven No, the election wasn't stolen. That was one of the lies you've been told.
My guy, you can’t ask “will this happen, or will that happen,” then have yes and no as the answers.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yWe will have a 2024 election. However, if Trump wins, he has made it clear he will declare himself dictator, the judges he appointed will toss out the constitution to support him being dictator, and an emergency will be declared to toss out the 2028 election.
00 Reply5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No, because there's never been a presidential election cancelled. 2028 might be, if 2024 is somehow won by the only president who didn't peacefully transfer power to his successor.
20 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think that there is an 80% chance of an election with a 40% chance of Biden and Trump being on the ballot in all 50 states. That last stipulation rose the percentage from 30% last week, since the Supreme Court ruling. It would have been higher if the decision was about how Trump hasn't been convicted of insurrection; instead of on it is a matter for the Congress and not each individual state.
00 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It will definitely have an election, but currently it's already a blatantly unfair election with the way they are going after the most popular candidate, open border, etc. Trump has to win at this point for people to accept the outcome.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI could conceivably see the Democrats starting a war and declaring an emergency suspension of the election if it appears Trump is going to win. But otherwise, no, I think the election will proceed as scheduled, and Biden will be re-elected. The democrats are in a casino, and they've put all their chips on red to keep Trump out of office. I think their worst fears are coming true in the fact that Trump is going to easily get the Republican nomination.

+1 yThe question is ambiguous, it asks two contradictory questions. I answered No for the last question asked, meaning the election would not be canceled, but some could answer yes for the same reason.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThere is no mechanism available to cancel a US election. So it can't be done. Weekend At Bernie's and his handlers could say "there will be no election this November!" and everything would still go ahead as planned. Short of an all-out nuclear strike by Russia, there will be an election in November.

+1 yI've said we are heading for WW3 for the last 5 years. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in 2024. Too many people are thirsty for power or in some cases MORE power!
00 Reply 2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I would not be surprised if the Democrats try to pull an "emergency" situation before the election, and even if the election takes place the Democrats will try to influence the outcome by illegal means.

I don't think it matters, we really have no say it. Our governments pursue their own agendas regardless of the people. We are not relevant to what they do. If we elect the wrong person they'll step in and "correct" it.
10 Reply5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No, of course not because that's impossible.
The nature of elections in the United States, a federation, makes that not possible.
