I’m watching TV right now, on a major cable network, and there are frequent advertisements about how AI is “revolutionizing” the workplace and productivity.
To such a wide audience, is this not a little tone deaf? Does it not send the wrong message? Like “Yeah all YOU viewers out there… we won’t need you! We’re going to be more productive with AI!”
Like whatever our society is becoming, without knowing what’s on the other side of all this, it looks incredibly bad. Bleak… like what is this clown show we’re living in? If less and less people are going to be employed, how are people expected to live?
Just some odd implications being televised out to the nation, I thought… that’s all.

Robot maids and butlers has been in a thing for a century. It will be the next evolution to the assembly line work the most efficient thing to ever exist. Today's called AI programming is the brains with out the body of classic robot servant.
We did the same thing with the car engine that replace all the farm hand to assembly line car workers that started 40 hour 5 day work week.
These tools are getting stronger and stronger and more efficient. They should be working for us not against us. We need to recalibrate basically everything to ultimately utilize our tool and work together. Thst does mean working less and getting more at fair exchanges that wasn't possible before.
Our meaning and understanding of work and how our tools are used is outdated. Hence the recalibration where shit makes sence again.
AI is being so heavily pushed because investors and upper management in corporations think its the next big thing. They are of course wrong, as they always are, but what you are seeing is just how hyped they are for it to take off. Listening to them you would think its the next big thing since sliced bread. If anything it just goes to show how bad they actually are at their job and the only reason they still have it is probably because of nepotism or power and influence.
