Floridians are you cool with the price of living due to New Yorkers and New Jersey people moving there?

Let’s be real NY and NJ fell apart after the pandemic. I’m saying this as someone who leans left politically. They are blue states that are great like Massachusetts and Hawaii, but that doesn’t mean all blue states are fine. Basically anyone who can is leaving the NY and NJ area because it’s so bad now, but how do the people in Florida feel about this?

It's not like it's anything new. North Easterners have been moving to Florida for decades. I grew up with plenty of them. The Tri-country area has become more congested and there are a bunch more ass hats from up north that don't how to behave, but it doesn't really matter. It's funny to see someone go to a deli and have a hissy fit about there not being half and half hot dogs as if every geographic location in the world is the same. What do you mean it's not like where I came from? I want my hot dogs with pig lips and cow assholes! Grind them both together!

Florida has always been pricey. If new residents want to come with a bag of cash to live in a particular place, we'll take their cash and build more homes. Florida is fine with growth. Population migrations stimulate the Florida GDP. We're building like crazy down here. That said, residential growth has to be matched with commercial expansion. So if they want to relocate tons of people here, they should bring their companies with them to support the population shift.

If I had my way, Florida would have a law by which you cannot register to vote until you lived in Florida for 4 years. That way you realize what the political climate really is and you'll be able to get rid of a lot of the leftist political infection that you brought with you from Blue States.
