Gaming more important than girlfriend?

So today my boyfriend calls me after three days not communicating. We are in a long distance relationship. After about 2 minutes into the convo. he tell me he needs to go. I ask him why? are you gonna lose the game? Obviously he was gaming and that was more important.

Is it okay for me to be upset about this? I don't want be annoying but I think if you call someone you should make an effort to talk to them.

Why bother calling then?

Would you be upset if your boyfriend did this? Its not the first time.

My boyfriend used to be like that, until I started playing games with him and not just on my own. He loved it because we spent more time together and we got to teach each other about the different new games we found. I actually made a career out of it and am becoming a game designer for my new found love for games. Don't get me wrong, I have played video games my entire life, but once I began playing with friends I found a new happiness with it.

I can understand it being an issue not talking to him for days on end so maybe try talking to him about txting you? It only takes a couple of seconds to send a text and he can do that on a bathroom break or on the way to get a drink or even when the save screen is up. This way you can get some attention from him, but he still plays games all day long. Everyone wins in the end.

Yeah I game wirh him all the time when I stay over at his place. But if I'm not with him...I dont.

Yeah it's hard dealing with it at first, just think of it this way: you get more alone time to spend with your friends or sleeping/important stuff w.e. while he is busy playing his games. It's not so bad once you get used to it [:

It is bad that he is more into the game, but im a gamer too and actually gaming can be important to us. We wanna be the best we can be at a game. For me i'd text or call the person right after a game (if im not making a class). Usually I just play with him you know 1v1 quickscoping with him or an online match. Try to get into what he's into. If he's playing a game ask him how it is, any missions, or say how do you play. To me guys know more about gaming than love honestly. So I tried a game and i've been playing COD since i was 9. It does make them more interested in you if you're also a gamer because you guys have something in common that actually boys are known for doing. I dont know but the point is try playing a game.

Yeah, the thing with gameing is that it is a major way of feeling emotions for guys, such as pride, exitement, adrenaline, joy and thrill. I have been playing games since I was born and I still do, so belive it or not - it is important because it can stimulate our emotions like nothing else. I don't even watch TV anymore because there is no point, it does not trigger enough emotions. But I think that because your in a long distance relationship, it is harder for him to feel from you... you need to get closer and be with him. That's why the game is "termperarly" more important.

Honestly, the best way that you can connect with him more is play the game with him... because that is like a guys - dream girl.

Very true, but i went out with a guy and we played.. he got really mad i was winning him he broke up with me. I think boys take games more seriously than girls

If he's playing WoW - it's understandable to be off-limits sometimes due to raids, RBG's, Arena, Heroics, etc. but if he contacts you and has to go after a few moments due to the game then you have a right to be mad.

I'm a hardcore gamer it's my life but when I do get a girlfriend (which is rare) I concentrate on her and play my games as little as possiable
