Trending & News Depends on what circumstance, there are certain things you can’t do when pregnant, but in general no it’s not a disability. There are however conditions you can develop because of pregnancy that should be counted as disability. Like PGP if severe can be so painful you can’t move or walk. I know someone who needed crutches just to walk short distances indoors because of this. Some even need a wheelchair. Or if you get hyperemesis you can vomit 30, 40 even 50 times a day for weeks, months or even the entire pregnancy. Some women are put on bed rest during pregnancy because they have a risk of delivering too early or lots of bleeding. Some women have severe migrain during pregnancy or have their normal migrain worsen. I know someone who was admitted to hospital several times for multiple nights up to a week each times because of their extreme headache from pregnancy.
