You hate these crimes when Americans do them, but when illegal immigrants do them, you say you love them.

I definitely want criminals tracked down, arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent. Put them to work on chain gangs to serve out their sentences and then deport them.

I want illegal aliens who mooch off of Biden benefits - free housing, food, medical, money, etc. - deported. Americans should not support them with their hard earned tax dollars.

But there have always been a certain number of undocumented immigrants in this country working hard in restaurants, as hotel maids, gardeners, pool cleaners, private maids, construction workers, farm laborers, etc. They came here to work.

There used to be places where day laborers would congregate in the morning. I hired day laborers a few times to help me move or do hard labor on my property. They worked their asses off and did excellent work.

I don't have any problem at all with honest, hard working people like that. They benefit the economy and aren't taking jobs from citizens.

So I am all for tracking down criminals and lazy moochers. But I'm not happy about spending money to track down and arrest every single undocumented immigrant and deport them. It's cruel and counterproductive. I'm not a xenophobe.

They do actually. Judges give deportation orders but they rarely ever go through with it. They gave one to that Kilmar Garcia guy had a deportation order in 2019 but was withheld due to the real danger he would face from gang violence if he returned to El Salvador. My family had come to the USA legally and are very much against illegal immigration. It’s not fair for those who go through the system and have to spend years waiting and pay thousands of dollars in application fees, to have others just hop the border and receive “sanctuary” in certain areas. There’s an argument that illegal immigration helps lower costs, but that argument just glosses over the fact that you’re taking advantage of illegal immigrants by paying them below the minimum wage and not giving them any benefits. Couldn’t that be considered a form of modern day slavery?

Illegal immigrants benefit the economy in the sense that they work for less than the legal minimum wage and they prop up industries that would otherwise fail. Some of these industries, like agriculture, are extremely important to the survival of other people. You may not like this uncomfortable fact, but here in California where I live, it's a fact. Numbers also show that any crimes involving immigrants usually have them as victims, and citizens as perpetrators. Citizens are far more likely to commit crimes than immigrants, yet nobody on the right seems to care about this.
